When I drag and drop the unzipped files onto gzdoom, it starts regular Doom 2 but with xenomorph enemies. What am I doing wrong?

This mod only works with the first doom. It replaces episodes 2 and 3.

Great job so far but there is one problem with your mod. Every ACS script which can be called by player (like toggling flashlight, dropping flare etc) should be NET type. Otherwise you cannot call it in multiplayer (Zandronum) causing you to be unable to use flashlight and other features.

Using the Aliens (TC) 1.1 on Beloko's GZDoom port on my Android. I
seam to be having an issue with some of the sprite textures. The holes and srips from the ceiling are floating at about chest height and there seems to be a bunch of stock Doom lighting sprites visible throughout the maps (the skull torches and evil eyes in particular).

I'm noticing that the port doesn't seem to be seeing BEX files to add them to the loading pathway. I'm guessing that's were you were loading in your replacement sprites and definitions?

I also seem to be missing all the marine sounds, Apone talking...

Yeah I can confirm of having the same exact issues with the Android Beloko port.

A real shame but I am certain that unfortuately not -everything- can work with that port in particular...

Forgive my utter ignorance on this subject... But maybe that .DEH file should be replaced in favour of putting everything into .pk3 or .wad files?

Ok so i have played Aliens Colonial marines TC for DOOM but i haven't played yours yet. Is this supposed to be a remake of the classic aliens TC back in the 90's? Should i play yours first or should i try out Aliens TC first (pretty sure someone made an easy to install version of it on this site)

"F" is the default key to use it, make sure you are using opengl with dynamic lights on.

Hey, I used ZDoom launcher to play the game. All loaded like a charm but when I zoom on the rifle with the acog sight I only see black the part of the screen on 4:3 I play 16:9 (1080) Is there any way to fix this or I have to play on 4:3 resolutions¿?.

i saw a video on youtube about this mod,its a shame in the readme says ''This mod is not meant to be played with other levels'' would be so cool if this would be compatible with other level wads,anyways this is a badass mod indeed.

Help for proper loading/install instructions. Posted for those who go straight to comments and for people who don't read the description for whatever reason.

Use with Ultimate Doom episodes 2 and 3 ONLY.

Normal: Drag and drop in the order the files are in the folder to GZDoom executable.

ZDL: In the Add Files window, patch files (*.bex *.deh) are not included in the default file type option, and must be changed, and by extension need to be selected separately from the other files. Once done, prioritize the regular files and patch files in the order they are in the folder.

After either is done, set sprite clipping to always.

GZDoom 3.3.2 4-12-18 build: Options -> Display Options -> OpenGL Renderer ->
Adjust Sprite Clipping: Always

If done correctly, all textures should be in place, no doom lamps and other immersion breaking sprites/textures, and movement between corridors should not be blocked by sprites.

If Kontra_Kommando is okay with this, I can upload a revision of the instruction.txt that is included in the zip file with this information to Mediafire.

I will also add to this useful post that for those who are not using the ZDL launcher and want to setup the .ini file for autoload, you must rename the deh and bex files dehacked.beh & dehacked.bex for the files to be autoloaded. Your autoload should then looks like this:

Path=ATCLEV.WAD
Path=PSXMUSIC.WAD
Path=dehacked.BEX
Path=dehacked.DEH
Path=AUD9.5.pk3

This solved for me all floating stuff and doom torches.
It did not solve the flashlight issue though (I got working flares but no flashlight).

If you drag the folder onto GZDOOM, make sure the files with the WADs are loaded first, then the DEH and BEX files after the wad files. Then it will work. Otherwise, you get all sorts of weird sprites in the middle of the map.

I am absolutely loving this so far, but since I had to use ZDoom to get to play this, some things are missing.. I have not encountered any eggs, the flashlight and flare don't work.. Also I have no idea how to use a stimpak. Any recommendations? Thanks!

First eggs appears in level 2 in the alien maze. There are not much and if you don't have flares/flashlight you may have missed them. Use smartgun in autofire and you will see it will shoot stuff you sometime did not noticed.

For your flares/flashlight problem, try to follow indications by
SergeantDiggs & myself just above. I got working flares but flashlight does not work with most recent gzdoom version (this affects other mods as well like UDV).

In my experience, stimpacks are just health boost like the blue vial from doom vanilla, it's not something to "use". Your inventory just consist of turrets & flares & grenades for the pulse rifle.

Flashlight doesn't work. I have dynamic lights on and even on the automap I can see that flashlight should be on (there are marks in front of me) but nothing is lighten up. I use OpenGL, dynamic lights on. If I throw flare it brights up the area but not my flashlight. Any suggestion???

This seems to be gzdoom issue in its recent versions and not related to this mod in particular. See Zdoom forum for potential workarounds.

This mod is great in the dark anyway for a more freaking ambiance and a more "survival" gameplay. And no flashlight pushes you to use your flares tactically. Save them like precious gems and use them wisely (in corners to light 2 halls or near air vents to light the room next) ;-)

For those who still have problems with the flashlight here is a solution:
Unzip the .pk3 file (AUD9.5.pk3) and edit the DECORATE.Misc file

The issue is solved by changing the flashlight beam code.
Replace "TNT1 AABC 1" by "TNT1 AABC 2" on line 132 and flashlight will work again :-)
