Do we need to install patch 6.1 first before patching to 6.2?
Or can we just patch V6 to 6.2 and skip 6.1 entirely?

You can completely skip 6.1 and just go with 6.2!

Door works fine but I am having some trouble in those defense situations situations where xenomorphs are supposed to rush me. Sometimes they just stop spawning, there's also nothing on the motion tracker.
I noticed that on the Sulaco trying to reach the umbilical, and on the command centre in Hadley's Hope after setting up the sentry gun.

The mission also won't advance if the xenos won't keep coming in the command centre.

This is the famouse "freezing bug". Some boots or npc´s just freezing somewere and the next skript won´t load.
On the Sulaco for example, were Key´s try to open the door, there is one xeno behind the dropship that is stocked and upside down (mostly). This one is the last xeno from the second wave and prefented the third wave coming, if you don´t go behind the dropship and kill it.

The mod got nothing to do with this "bug" you got this in the vanilla version too. The mod reduced the freezing but can´t fixed it.

Unfortunately sometimes the ai gets stuck, I have not been able to figure out the root cause after all the time so it still happens sometimes. Look out for xenos stuck on things and kill them to keep the flow going. In the hanger in level 1 for example they often get stuck either on the right drop-ship support arm, or near the vent on the far wall they spawn in from in the second wave.

Level 4 in operations though is a bit more unfortunate. There is a nav point outside the operations that they get stuck on, and you can't see it. You can avoid it by shooting and killing the xenos that come in through the top right area of the whole in the wall, so they dont go back out the way they came

The second mission in the Stasis Interrupted is not load just keep crashing.

Just played throught the main campaign and the first level of the DLC this last week, then came to continue only to be faced with this crash whenever loading the second level of the DLC. Is there any fix for this yet?

Yeah, I can also confirm that. After finishing the first mission, when in the loading screen to continue to the second one, it just crashes.

I am also having this problem. The main campaign and mission 1 of Stasis was fine, but the second mission crashes the game as soon as the loading screen completes.

I have tried reducing all Graphics settings to minimal, with no luck

I had a problem in the first mission where I couldn't pick up ammo for any of my weapons (pulse rifle and the shotgun) I ran out of ammo for the shotgun and saw an ammo cache but it said I had full ammo and couldn't pick it up, is this a bug or a design choice to make the gameplay more tense?

It´s not a bug, it´s a feature. You get less ammo, depending on the power of your weapon.
Remember, short controlled bursts. :-)

Its randomized now to make the need for fire control during the campaign. In the original game, bags of ammo for whatever guns you were needing ammo for would spawn everywhere and you never had to switch weapon unless you wanted to

Hi, really appreciate your hard work with this mod. I tried the game when it was released and gave up, now i get to play it properly :D

I noticed a couple of things though:

1) In the firing range, the names of the guns don't seem to be correct for the one i have the cross hair over. Looks like it is reading the adjacent gun or something.
2) When i get knocked down by an alien and have to press (E) repeatedly im not sure if its registering my key strokes. Seems like 50% of the time it doesnt and i end up dead despite me pressing the button like a crazy man.

Also... and probably not a mod issue... how can i switch back to using the pulse rife in campaign mode after i have found Hicks' shotgun? Im currently wielding two shotguns and run out of ammo FAST. So fast i still havent made it past level 2

EDIT

I figured out how to change guns but another issue just came up:

3) Game crashed on level 2, just after listening to the 2nd doctors log, cut open the door, go inside, around the corner and CRASH after i just shot dead a facehugger. I'll try it again to see if its repeatable

Didnt crash again so i guess 3) was just a one-off

Hello! the game is amazing after the most recent mod! A friend and I have been playing through the co-op campaign and it has ran flawlessly. Unfortunately, when playing the Rampant mission, we hit the checkpoint before locating the Marine being held hostage. When opening the door directly after the task we encounter a crash every time. Please Help!

I have 2 other people who are running it into the same issue. They did the same thing I did (followed instructions). So maybe we're missing something?

The two people having issues are on Laptops, vs myself and everyone else I know running it with no issues on Desktops. I doubt that has any affect on the game, but it's interesting that the 2 laptop people are having issues.

Did you delete alien cm file from your document/my game/ alien cm file? You have to delete that saved game before you run the game with the mod. That's the only time I have run into a similar problem with earlier mods and I'm sure this is no different. Also did you have a previous mod installed prior to this one? If so first you will have to verify your alien cm files. When you do that steam basically restore all changes made by mods to default game files then after that delete the your alien cm saved file in documents/ my game/ you will see Alien cm. Just right click on it and delete. Now you are ready to install and play the game.

I have this issue, followed install instructions to the letter, coped files from archive to game folder, deleted my saved game folder from mygames folder, then ran the batch file which said it completed successfully. Get splash screen then nothing. Strangely game ran ok before the patch was just hoping to sort the AI.

Hey Templar we appreciate everything you have done for aliens cm. Everything looks good. One thing I seen is the AI of Xenos rarely attacks me, the only ones attack me as normal are the spitters. The other xenod attack npc's far more than me. I have a request though. Can you upload the AI files from your early v6 test build. They are the add-ons from 8/5/2019. They are far better because they zig zag when they run making it hard to hit them. They also flank and don't get stuck as much. The only problem I had was that they had weak melee attacks. I play with the faster Xenos from those add-ons. If you could give them the same melee damage as the Xenos in September v6 AI files and the spitters Xenos to the old 8/5/2019 files then it would be perfect. Along with not being able to get off face hungers and lukers. Make this happen please for hard core aliens fans like myself. I play online with it and people noticed the difference and wondered how I got the Xenos like that. All you have to do is increase the melee damage for Xenos and make the spitters like the ones you have now in v6, let us not be able to kick off lukers or pull off face hungers and if possible stop the lukers from hissing and growling. This will make us really use motion tracker. Just update those add-on files from 8/5/2019 please! I will pay you 100 bucks to do it.Do not change their behavior just modify their melee damage,let us not be able to pull off face huggers or lurkers. The only behavior you would have to change is the spitters which you would make them like the ones from the current v6 mod. If you can't get rid of the lurker growling or hissing it's no big deal, I was just asking if it was possible. Also upload the pecan.upk.bak file from August v6 build. I it's the most perfect one. I had to delete the "bak" from the file and that's the pecan.upk I use. Far as I know I have had no problems with it. No crashing, the Duplis bug is gone. Anyone who wants the game to be easy then let them have the current add-ons. I'm not asking for another mod because I know you said v6 your was the last mod. Just modify the add-ons from 8/5/19. Call it v6 hardcore add-ons or something. Once again thank you for all you have done!

For the moment if anyone wants to play alien cm hardcore edition 😁.
I use Templar v5 overhaul mod on low master effects, I use the Xenos AI from an early v6 test build add-on. I play faster tougher Xenos on single campaign but co op I play just faster Xenos. I also play with a Pecan.upk file from another early v6 test build which was the last one before the release of the official build. It's called the August v6 build. The August build had two pecan.upk files but one says pecan.upk.bak. Delete the ".bak." and there you go no problems. No crashes, Duplis bug, no nothing. It's a whole new game and I love with the exception of being able to pull off face huggers and lukers. All credit is given to Templar because these are his mods. He has worked hard to please everyone. One minute he makes it hard then you get the very people who complained about the default game being to easy, no acid damage and horrible AI then goes on to complain that it's too hard. The mods I use from Templars collection is great and I enjoyed this game for the first time. If he can just modify those add-ons I mentioned and upload them for us hardcore Aliens fans then this will be good. Me and my friends had to really use the motion trackers at times.

Could you show how to increase xeno melee damage values and disable close encounters to where we can't get the face huggers and lukers off. I have everything I need but I don't know where to look for damage and how to changethe hex values. Would be cool if you could give us a video tutorial and let us take it from here. Please let this be the last thing you do for us concerning this game.
