Shortly after the 2.07 release, updated AMD drivers caused rendering errors for The Dark Mod. This patch tries to rectify that.
OBSOLETE
2.07 Hotfix 1 included the fix from this patch.
2.08 is out now.
Unless you are strangely curious about TDM 2.07 before hotfix 1 and have an AMD video card, there is no reason to use this file anymore.
Forum reports are indicating update 2 has cured this for all affected AMD users.
I presume i don't need this if i've run that 'Beta testing 2.07-hotfix' that was posted in the darkmod forums.
Beta testing 2.07-hotfix seems to download about 53mb of data which affects a few files ,according to the logs.
Like if i put the normal tdm_mirrors.txt file back in the game folder it will download approx. 53mb again to "correct" the game files (ie: put them back to the pre-testing normal version).
This fix posted here looks like it only affects one file ,tdm_base01.pk4 .
Well ,that's the file that comes in the archive along with
TheDarkModNoTools.exe .
So which is the proper AMD fix ?
Or do they both do a similar thing for us AMD users?
They both are similar but I would suggest sticking with the one at the forums:
Forums.thedarkmod.com
...since this one was built with 2.08 alpha code instead of a proper 2.07 backport.
