The world is not what it used to be, that much is clear. Whatever happened at Black Mesa is now affecting the entire globe. The ressonance cascade has reached the far ends of our planet which left humanity fighting for it's survival.
On this particular night however the dutch military finds itself having to deal with an abnormal high number of disturbances.
One of which involves an undercover military cargo train omitting radio transmissions.Heavily understaffed at this point they send in SlumDog, a veteran Black-Ops, to find out why the crew onboard is not responding.
1187 - Rogue Train takes place during the last few hours of 1187 - Episode One.
INSTALL
============
NOTE : This is a stand-alone version of 1187 - Rogue Train. You do NOT need to have 1187 - Episode One installed in order to play it.
You can open up the 1187 folder and copy all the files inside it to your existing 1187 folder. Be sure to overwrite any older files as these new files will update the existing game.
1) Unzip the folder :
2) copy the folder "1187" to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods
* If you have steam currently running then you have to restart it, and the mod will show up in the list.
3) Open steam and play

theres a problem with the npcs from the Main story after adding rogue train is added. They don't move at all.
I'm having exactly the same problem.
that is really strange, I have not had these problems myself at all. I'll try and look into it !!!
That only happen to a few NPCs when I played it like two of them just stood.
Could you plz fix the 1187 episode one download with the error signs everywhere

But there appears to be a few problems if it is installed as a standalone (i doubt these things were intended soo!) Basically, some weapons still got the leather jacket skin. The shotgun is ALL silver. But that was about it tbh. Other then that, does it just end with you in the cart after you've seen Gman? Or does something else happen?
Actually the hand skin problems (which also is the shiny shotgun) is something I couldn't fix before release. Dec simply doesn't have the time to fix it so that's what was keeping the map from being delayed.
I didn't want to postpone it any longer so I went ahead and released it the way it is. I do hope to have it fixed in the future, but for now it'll have to stay like this.
As for the ending, that's it. I wanted to have the player feel how it'd be to be in stasis like that, just imagine what you'd feel like after all the crap you went through to have to stay there ... with no idea wth's going on.
I just have finished DLC. I can say only one thing: AWESOME!!!
I dont get the part after the talk with the fat guy on the tv character. I mean after I fight the blue vort I die and I guess that's scripted? But I dont know if their's more.

We can assume that the blue vorts were created by the evil man. That's what I'm refering him to as, "The Evil Man".
I downloaded rogue train twice and both times all the maps for the main game are missing from the zip file.
There's a reason why we release these files with README's, also the reason why they're called README's :

Since it's standalone it means that anything needed for the original campaign is not included.
hmm there bug in the original campaign where the gman does't do his animations or talk, just kinda stands there and the game won't progress. anybody else getting this?
rouge train is pretty cool. just finished it, challenging to say the least.
yeah, the standalone version has messed up the main campaign's scenes. I will try and fix this asap.

First Impressions: I had issues loading the mod, i have to make it windowed to load it up. Also, the intro video wouldn't play for me on startup. I still saw it when i renamed the intro to a .mpeg file. I will now proceed to play the mod!
I couldn't get the game to load after the initial cut-over scene. I get the loading message but then after a bit it just crashes with a "hl2.exe has stopped working" error. Tried fullscreen or windowed but crashes for both :-/
OK I found the problem, I was trying to play with a steam id that didn't have Episode 2 installed. I logged in with one that does and it loaded fine.
Well this kinda sucks, I was enjoying the mod (even though I randomly crash a lot and have to restart the game <sigh>), BUT now I'm stuck because when I go underwater I can't see anything. If I'm above water the view is clear but as soon as I submerge it's too murky to make anything out. I played with the video settings but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions? I'm stuck at the canal where you go down the chute, once I'm in it I can't see where to go >.<
Found the problem. For some reason the default video was set to Directx 7 instead of 9 and there was no way to change it in the video options. SOOO I forced it to 9 by adding "-dxlevel 9" to the launch options for the addon in steam. Them it changed it in the video options as well and saved it. Probably the reason I was crashing so much .. I'll see heading back to the mod :-D

I'm wondering about near the end when someone comes on the radio other than the contact... who is that supposed to be? What was he saying, all I caught was him needing help. I couldn't understand anything else he was saying har!
Oh and IMO the ending should have been more succinct other than having us wander around a closed compartment wondering whether that was actually the end.
the end was intentional. I just wanted to play around with people. could've done a bit more perhaps. If you played 1187, you should be able to figure out who's talking near the end...
Ahh ok, so Rogue Train is supposed to take place before 1187 then, makes sense, I know who it is ;-p

Any luck on getting the glitches in the updated version of this mod yet (which makes Gman and other characters stand or sit there)? If not, approximately when will it get fixed?
I have no time to fix all the bugs. The only way to fix it is to delete/move the 1187 rogue train folder then download and/or install 1187 1.3 in your sourcemods folder.
If you want you can copy over everything from the rogue train stand alone folder EXCEPT the scenes folder.
This means you'll have all the updated weapons, textures and skill.cfg files and 1187 1.3 should work as before.

****! the game wont start at all! in the main menu i pressing "new game", choosing 1st availiable mission aaaaand... nothing happens. i pressing crash course and nothing happens to. wtf is that? menu is just getting black and nothing loading, but the game is working...
rogue train comes without any of the 1187 main campaign files, it's just rogue train.

I have a problem with this one, after i have fight against an army of soldiers, i go to the room wheres a guy on TV and he wont say **** to me and i know hes suppose to talk to me coz i cant get anywhere else. Can someone plesea help me if they can?
I am also having this problem. If anyone could advise, that would be lovely.
