1187 - Episode One FULL comes with the 1.3 patch and will fix / add the following (Patch 1 and 2 included) :
TEXTURES / MODELS :
- Missing texture
- Missing model
CODE :
- Houndeye's AI fixed.
- John will not be able to be eaten by barnacles.
- John "bump" speak chance lowered.
- Ironsight bugs fixed.
- Crowbar and knife ironsight no sprint fixed.
- Added game options to disable certian features (i.e. headbobbing. blur.)
- Noclip added back, now disables easter eggs when noclip is activated.
- Small performance tweaks here and there in the code.
- Melee code re-done. Now works and is useful. (Can hit headcrabs!)
- Secret Weapon adjusted.

- Several easthetic tweaks.

- Several easthetic tweaks.
- John aids player on finding the tool puzzle.
- Fixed John scene after clearing outside area.

This is an exe, that was a .7z, and the other one was just an upgrade patch. If you have winRar, or a capable compression program, I'd go with the 7z because it should be smaller (faster to download) than the .exe.
I have an issue. Every time I try to run 1187: Episode One. It Crashes on startup. It gives me a black screen for a short split second, then it closes. It didn't happen in the previous versions, so I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem. Waiting anxiously for a fix :D And good luck on the MOTY. Voted for this mod.

how do i start the mod? theres no exe file or a shortcut.
Put the folder in the SourceMods folder in your Steam directory and restart Steam. It should be in your library section of your Steam.

i don't have Hlaf life 2.. Is it a problem?
It will be, we use resources from both HL2 and the episodes.
Do u need half life 2 episode 1 or 2

I just downloaded both the zip and the exe one, the archive isn't broken. I also have no control over where and how MODDB store these files. I only know that I can download them myself.
Uhh, every time I try to start the mod up, I get errors and those checker boxes instead of buttons in the main menu. I can't click anything and I have to use CTRL ALT DELETE just to get out. Some help would be nice. Oh, I don't have Halflife 2 downloaded or episode 1. I do have episode 2 downloaded though.
Edit, I just downloaded Portal, Half Life 2, and Episode 1 and it still does not work.

I'm having a problem with the main menu when first booting up the game. The background displays just fine, even with that moving zombie thing, as well as the music, but I see no menu options.
I've tried pressing every button on my keyboard in tandem with "enter", as well as clicking where the menu items should be (I see that it's a custom menu) in the hopes that I simply can't see the menu, yet it's still there, but nothing.
Is there any fix for this? Is it a known bug? Is there any menu file or anything I can edit/delete to revert back to the default Half-Life menu that displays the title, and the options to the left?
And I am using HL2 - EP2, in case anybody's wondering. Tried the installer and the archive from multiple sites, but no dice.
howdy sir, this is the first time I've heard about this problem, so it's not known at all.
All that I can suggest is try to reinstall it when steam's not running, and try again if the problem remains the same send me an email with a screenshot if you can and I Will dig some further.

Thats a problem with source, specifically with the orange box engine. After tard steam updated all its source games like DOD:S and CS:S I had the same problem with those 2. Just delete everything and reinstall in when steam is in offline mode.
I had the same problem, so I re-installed. now the mod just crashes after briefly displaying the loading screen: "mountfilesystem (236) failed".
when altering the gameinfo.txt (
Steamcommunity.com), which made many mods playable for me, it crashes after short blackscreen with "could not load library client".
is the mod even playable with steampipe?

I couldn't get the game to load after the initial cut-over scene. I get the loading message but then after a bit it just crashes with a "hl2.exe has stopped working" error. Tried fullscreen or windowed but crashes for both :-/
OK I found the problem, I was trying to play with a steam id that didn't have Episode 2 installed. I logged in with one that does and it loaded fine.

Okay, the main problem I'm having is opening the game and instantly seeing Errors. I have Half Life Two: Episode Two, so that isn't the problem. I'm afraid to start the game and just see Errors running around everywhere, so please tell me there is a way to fix this. This mod looks amazing and I really want to play it.
Would it be better if I just got the 7zip file and just manually move it into the Sourcemods folder, or is it another issue?
Judging by the inactivity, I assume these questions have ceased getting answered. This is disappointing, since I wanted to enjoy this mod. Please, if you can answer this and get me to be able to help me fix the error I am having, then please, do so. I want to be able to enjoy this mod. Thank you.

need help, ive extracted all textures and models and used the installer to install the mod, but at the main menu there are 3 errors and the green ammo crate at the crash course is a big error sign.

I have a problem.. I am seeing errors everywhere and I have Half-Life 2 along with ep. 2 which is needed..
im still missing a few things like at the start screen the rails are missing (ik cuz of the pic when loading) and the sky box is not there and much more. the game run fine just this errors kinda ruin the game for me.if any one else getting this errors and know what is needed to fix them say so.thank you.

Seems as if this install is broken. I'm having the same issue as others -- errors in the title screen and when I start the game the skybox and such are missing.
will this mod ever see a squeal
