Didn't start for me. I get the same error even after setting my compatibility mode. Same goes for administrator mode.
What is your OS and ZH version number?
Do you have a clean install of Zero Hour (ie NO MODS or any alterations)?
Is your copy of Zero Hour legitimate (no cracks etc)?
Did you have the same issues with previous versions of VRM?
Did the installer correctly locate your Zero Hour install directory?
Is your compatibility mode set to XP SP3?
OS: Windows 7 64 bit build 7601
I'm unsure of how to check my Generals version, but according to Generals Online I am updated.
My install isn't clean. I have the Blitzkrieg 2 and NavalWars 3 mod installed.
Legit install.
Waited for the final version of VRM so here I am.
It did find it correctly
Compatibility was tried on sp3 and 2, neither worked.

95% chance this is the issue, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to help much if it wasn't successful after a clean install and update.
make the original copy of your cnc zero hour folder game to a new folder if you dont want your other mods missing or install new mods.. i've done this..
i agree because i have had it were most of my mods arent compatible

Really beautiful dhd, I like the new nuke tank. Playing so far only scud launcher 3rd upgrade is have problem but I don't mind. Thank you so much.
Unfortunately the new nuke tank is a stop-gap, I literally took the Type 99 turret and placed it on the Type 96 body, in reality there are slight differences to both for this version of Type 96(D or G, I forgot), but it might get fixed in the future.

Just noticed the following bug. The GLA quad cannon becomes invisible except the wheels when doing a junk upgrade.
This is almost certainly because the code for the non-vanilla generals is untouched, and will fail to accurately recreate all the custom changes I've added to the mod.
Bottom line: certain non-vanilla generals may have some serious bugs.
Will you be releasing a patch or a fix for the Generals Challenge ?

The changes are purely in the .ini and would take probably 1 hour. I won't be doing it, but if someone else would want to..

holy mother of ..... i love this mod.
ok loved it but everytime i build a war factory(usa)it gives me an error and the game crashes... w.o a war factory i can play all i want. how can i fix this?
Damn! That sucks! What a totally weird bug.
Do you have any other mods installed, or did you recently have other mods installed? VRM will conflict with anything else installed at the same time and that could be causing it.
no other mod. i got the game from origin. when i went to install the vrm i had to point it in the right direction because it couldnt find the right folder but once i selected the folder for it to go into, the opening screen even changed so i knew it was ok. then i played and i saw the units.... awesome. then if a usa war factory is built by me or any other ai in skirmish i get an error and the game crashes. i cant think of what could be wrong. the error says:
"you have encountered a serious error. serious errors can be caused by many things including viruses, overheated hardware and that does not meet the minimum specifications for the game. please visit the forums at (ea's website) for suggested courses of action or consult your manual for technical support contact information."
i know none of this is the case. if it were i wouldnt be able to play w.o building a war factory.
is there anything i can do to help you help me?
well so i re installed everything. including the mod. then set my graphics a little higher and it worked. idk what the problem was but its not a factor anymore. woooooooooooooo now i get to enjoy the awesome ground units. thanks so much for the mod!

oh one more thing i also tried out a mod called "a global crisis"... naybe you guys could get together and make an even more epic mod! they have bradleys and blood spatter and a few things that make the game a little more realistic but the only thing lackin is the mass texture change for all the units. also they have a pretty good effect on the 50. cal and also put machine-gunners in the game. both mods are awesome appart. but what happens when u put 2 great things together? awesomeness thats what xD

i have a problem please help i installed 1.04 patch and this mod works with it and i play very good especially i love nuclear missile blast, it is more beautiful with this mod but when i change reload time in ini file nuclear blast changes! it become like before mod.everything is same new but n. blast become old!! please help me
Probably dicking around with the inis will break the mod.
i don't have the legit copy, can i install it? also, i want to buy cnc and zh.. but in argentina can't find sellers -.-
