Founded in June of 2016, The Game Vault is dedicated to publishing indie games. We are an indie friendly publisher that caters to the specific needs in the indie field. We have games developed by our affiliated developers and our own in-house works. We are always looking to add new talented developers to our network.

Here is how you get in our distribution channel:

  • Have a great game (visually or otherwise)
  • Contact us for a review

That is it. Once we review the game it will be accepted or denied based on our merit system, which focuses on story, message, and gameplay. This review can be a video, screenshots, or an actual play through. If a YouTuber has played the game, send us the link and we’ll check it out. You can apply at any stage of development.

Here is why you should consider our platform:

  • No fees to get accepted
  • You set the price of your game
  • 25% commission per sale for distributed works (lower than industry standard)
  • Non-exclusive distribution agreement
  • Marketing options
  • Personal attention from our team
  • Developing an Affiliate Program for YouTubers to increase your games reach
  • Community features that keep people on the site where they can find your games
  • Create a support forum in our community forum to handle support tickets
  • Support for crowdfunding campaigns with low success fee

We believe that revenue splitting is sometimes necessary, but should not be the only option. That is why we have come up with a way to let developers keep all revenue from their games on our platform. You can choose from two publishing models. The traditional publishing model is where we split the game's revenue as mentioned above. We also will perform publishing services on a pre-paid service where you keep all revenue from the game and instead pay a service fee monthly, quarterly, or annually. There are pros and cons to each model, but the choice is your's to decide which is better for you!

Here is our publishing promise:

  • We will not take a cut of total revenue from all sources as the publisher. We will only take a percent from sales if we negotiate the deal on your behalf with another distributor or retailer and it will be a much less percent than you will ever find elsewhere guaranteed.
  • We do not interfere with the creative process.
  • Marketing options that will help get your game in front of more people.
  • Connections to other developers and helpful resources.
  • Business advice is always beneficial even if you have a plan, so we will be on-call to provide any insight or thoughts on your decisions.
  • All business will be held in strict confidence.
  • We ask to be listed as the publisher publicly so other developers can see what we work on.

Please note that the distribution and publishing services happen under separate, but related projects. It is possible to just be distributed on the platform, and not be a part of the “publishing” service. We hope you consider working with us in your journey to create beautiful works of art. Please get in contact with us to discuss your situation via our Contact Page! Thanks and we look forward to hearing from great developers!

Current Projects

No games, mods, engines, software or hardware appear to be published or in development by The Game Vault. We suggest you add games, mods, engines and hardware you are developing here (or update existing games, mods, engines and hardware on the site which should be linked with this Developer & Publisher).

If this profile is not used to publish or develop games, mods, engines, software or hardware we recommend you contact us and we will move it to the groups section and this page will display a blog instead.
