It is advised you wait for addons to be updated for 1.4.17 before using this patch.

1.4.17 should technically be save compatible with the previous patch. If there are issues with loading your save revert to an old patch or try starting a new game.

Thanks for the update Alundaio.

I'm still having problem with companions. They don't follow me. Playing on a fresh install, 1.4.17, no addons. Had this problem since 1.4.12. They will teleport to my position when out of range, and moving to another map teleports them with me, but they don't move from that position.

Companion window in relations shows they are in 'follow mode' but they don't move. Also the leftmost contact infomation bubble is off-screen for me. 1600x1200 resolution.

Is this on an existing save or a new save that was created on 1.4.16? If you aren't using addons, give me the .scoc and .scop files from your save.

This goes for anyone else, if you encounter reproducible issue on vanilla CoC most definitely send a save because I can use it to find and fix issues faster.

Okay, thanks I see problem with your save. Somehow you, as the actor, ended up with companion infoportions which I think is what is breaking the logic. Fixed in 1.4.18

Earlier there was an opportunity to display the enemies in the "Contacts", but now it is not. You can return it optional. I liked to watch the enemies in the SoC.

Hi,

So I've finally decided to give this mod a try but on changing resolution and rendermode my screen turned black. Both configs in the gamedata folder still have the default settings.

Edit: So when I put the game in windowed mode everything works fine but now I have an annoying taskbar at the bottom of my screen :/

Tried running in various compatibility modes, admin mode...nothing helps

Edit2: Turning on refreshrate 60hz in config fixed it for me :)

Patches are cumulative. The latest patch contains all other patch fixes. Install 1.4.18 and you're up to date.

If you're continuing a game from before the patch was corrected he'll still have the same trade tables. You'll either need to wait until his shop content resets or start a new character.

When I try enter other map (for example I am in zaton and I want to go in Jupiter) or Start new Game or when I will die and load save it Crash with this error

I was getting the same crashes. I extracted files from "database". I found "bind_stalker.script" and I copied it to "gamedata\scripts\" folder. It works for me. No crashes so far.

I meant, how would I obtain 1.4.17? It's not in the list of archived patches... was it like a test thing for 1.4.18? Or was it an actual patch I could've downloaded? If I could've downloaded it how do I? Of course I'm going to get 1.4.18 once all add ons I download confirm that it is 1.4.18 compatible like STCoP

Anyone know if outfit add on V 1.4.3 is compatible with 1.4.18 patch?
And if I want to use my add ons again do I just download 1.4.18 patch and reinstall all the mods that have been updated for it?

The patches are a series of *.db files that go into the database directory. It's basically a packed gamedata directory. The gamedata directory basically overwrites the files that were loaded from the db files. To ensure the best compatibility you need to re-install updated versions of each addon you use every time you want to use a new patch.

Otherwise, say an updated script in the patch is looking for something new that doesn't exist in an overwritten script by an addon, then your game will crash. Like what is happening in the posts above this one.

Maybe someone should make some kind of plugin manager for CoC.

right then. i might just wait till outfit addon lootmoney units like clearsky more fast travel get updated for 1.4.18 lootmoney says its already supported so will work for future updates. units like in clear sky is just a PDA thing so im unsure if its compatible. outfit addon i definately want to hear if its compatible and STCoP sounds compatible since TeamEpic supports it.

Sorry to tell you this but I am experiencing some issues with the patch since 1.4.16. The first is that every time I open the game, my music volume is set at 0 even though I put it on max and click apply. My other issue is that when making a character I cannot change the portrait from Strelok to another stalker unless I scroll down the list and click one past the third portrait in the list. I don't know if these are common problems, or if it is just me but I would appreciate some kind of fix. I love your mod and hope that it gets mod of the year.

These are bugs that been around since CoP. The music volume being set to 0 I think is issue with dynamic music.

Engine has a bug with combo boxes that require you to close the list and then re-open it to select things.

The music volume bug I could probably figure out a fix for but not sure about the combo box issue.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'm relieved to know that this is not just a fault in my game. I wouldn't worry too much about them though, it is a minor issue that I will probably get used to but I just thought it may be worth bringing up in case others are also experiencing these problems.

Sometimes ny companions keep shooting to death enemies doen't matter wich combat rules I order to they. I have this problem with a vanilla clear CoC 1.4.18 for test the new patch.

I've got a lot of problems with companions since 1.4.18. Sometimes they stop moving entirely and ignore my orders, or they keep shooting at dead enemies. I've also seen a NPC who was running everywhere arround the map although he was following me just before. I believe it happens only after fights, and makes missions that require to escort NPC quite frustrating. Saving and reloading fixes it most of the time, though, but I don't recall such behaviour in 1.4.16.

1.4.16 had a bug when you are in Yantar and covering the scientist loot mutant parts. The bug is that he does not do this. At all.

Although all other companions worked.

Download this patch.
Extract it.
Copy paste all content inside to your game folder, overwrite if asked.
And have fun!!!

Or first download the october update (V1.4.12) for optimized texture.

The new contacts menu is great! A small suggestion however would be to add options for keybindings to open specific parts of the PDA.

That way we can press H to open up the contacts menu specifically or P for the PDA map and so on. Would be useful with all the added functionality the PDA has.

Also as a side note, would it be possible to identify Top 100 Stalkers once you find their corpse displaying any relevant info about them? Would be cool and make it a bit more interesting and require less work from the player, could be a toggle thing as well for those who prefer to have it off.

I'm sorry, but the game crashes after installing this update, the report said about "gamerelation,line 714 alive==nil".
I use the doctorx and dynamic relation mod,and I already updated them also. I havent update the game to 1.7 yet, and I tried to find it archieve here, but found none. Could anyone help me? thanks in advance

There is no line 714 in vanilla CoC game_relations.script. So most likely dynamic relations.

Oh, I have to ask, by manual merging you meant outright editing of the files and combining two into one, or just a bad order of file overwriting? Because I didn't do the former at all.

It could be either. Though the odd printf seems more likely would appear from bad editing. The overwriting of the latest patch with incompatible files will definitely cause problems

CoC 1.4.18 + Mercenary Faction. That companion feature doesn't work for me. My companion soldiers listen to my commands only when meeting enemy for the first time. After that they don't listen to me anymore. I command them to follow me + "Pasive mode" but they fighting on their own. They don't care about me. Once I entered to another location they showed right behind me. But when I command them to fight enemy via "Agrression mode", they did nothing. They were just standing near to me and enemies were killing them without any problem. Another annoying issue is that as a mercenary faction member I should be neutral to Clear sky faction. But Clear sky soldiers are fighting me as if I was their enemy. And the third thing which annoys me is that two or three flies are spawning randomly 50 cm behind my back. I don't know exactly if this is relative only to "Mutated fly" mod or if this is the main game problem.

If you are using the script in the latest version of mutant flies then flies will appear behind you because they spawn from unharvested dead mutant bodies.That is where flies come from.
