This is the official group of the Devs for now. The Silverate Devs can freely discuss about everything about the game as well as can submit their ideas, concepts, models and so on.
No games, mods, engines, software or hardware appear to be published or in development by Silverate DEVs. We suggest you add games, mods, engines and hardware you are developing here (or update existing games, mods, engines and hardware on the site which should be linked with this Developer).
If this profile is not used to publish or develop games, mods, engines, software or hardware we recommend you contact us and we will move it to the groups section and this page will display a blog instead.
Only registered members can share their thoughts. So come on! Join the community today (totally free - or sign in with your social account on the right) and join in the conversation.
you should add a game then you get views
as this is totally great (just another modders advice :D)
Can I get your nicks to add you all on Skype group ?
Um.... Just a though, why don't we decide and come up with our Company name ?
I ma sure you all of tons of ideas to share.
I got one... what about Emperus ? (or might be this can be used as the game name, but it just popped into my mind, not something great)
Hello, everyone! I've got my ducks in a row here. Let's do this!
For the lack of a better place to put this info I'll just leave it here.
This is an article on ways to making the best looking environments which is pretty important to think about from the very early stages of game development. It talks about World Machine which is the best and easiest to learn tool I've seen for terrain creation

Thanks, I will take a look.
Rust Experimental has a nice procedural generated world with many different biomes, roads, radtowns, monuments... I think it's worth taking a look at Playrust.com.
hey, this is unrelated to the comment thread... BUT
I saw your suggestion earlier for a Facebook page to promote later.
Saion appointed me as the PR guy, since everyone is better at design/programming than I...
I can create a page, and appoint you as an admin, so when we have a build, or just when we are closer to completion, we can make it public and I'd be willing to drop a few bucks on promoting it.
I don't think a YouTube channel would hurt us at all either. Maybe throw up some time lapse screen caps during development, but again, at a later date when everything is more solidified.
LOL To correct you, I have you appointed as a programmer as well, here goes the team list Docs.google.com
When the page is up send me a message and I will give you a link to my Facebook profile.
