Description
Ruffian Games is an independent game developer based in Dundee, at the very heart of Scotland’s game development community. Our studio employs a team of highly experienced developers who have worked on titles spanning three decades of the games industry.
History
Ruffian Games In a Nutshell
We love games, from the brief moments of quick action on our tablets and phones to the epic, roller coasting blockbusters on our big screen TVs. As a team we have the drive and knowledge to make skilful and energetic games on all formats. We’ve created highly original titles that have spawned into successful franchises, we’re very experienced at working deftly with other people’s IP and we're continually prototyping new ideas in a quest to establish new IP of our own.
Past Titles and Experience
As a team and as individuals we have worked on many titles, including: Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Nike+ Kinect Training, Star Wars Kinect, Quarrel, Crackdown and Crackdown 2, Fable 2, Project Gotham Racing 3, Manhunt, Grand Theft Auto, Body Harvest, Mortal Kombat and many, many more. In fact, you may not have known it, but whether it was on a C64 or an Xbox One, you’re more than likely to have played one our our games in the past. So thank you!
The Future
We simultaneously operate as a work-for-hire studio and prototype games of our own creative direction. We continually aim to expand the production of our own games as an independent developer and we believe that the best way to make new gaming experiences is through prototype and play.
