This weekend brought this year's Comic Con convention to New York City. Although New York's annual gathering is not quite as famous as its San Diego counterpart, there were still days worth of things to visit, experience and play. Video games are not as large of a component in the New York convention, but there were at least a few interesting demos for anyone who loves gaming. Beyond the games, there were many authors, artists and celebrities greeting and talking with the visitors.

Rockstar Games may not have had any new games at this year's show, but that didn't stop them from having one of the larges booths at this year's show. The Rockstar presence this year was devoted entirely to a single new offering — The Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare pack. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed within their walled-off booth, but there were plenty of demo stands available, allowing visitors to play through a demo of the upcoming DLC.

The demo puts John Marston in the middle of a graveyard equipped with a variety of weapons and tasked with burning 5 exposed coffins and taking on the crowds of zombies rising from the ground. Slaughtering the undead with torches and Marston's various guns adds a new and interesting dimension to the Red Dead Redemption experience. The Blunderbuss, in particular, definitely fits the exciting and over-the-top experience that Rockstar is clearly aiming to bring to RDR. Seeing zombies explode in a splash of blood is quite a sight to see!

Rockstar also one-upped nearly every other company at the show with their hand-outs and the fan gear being offered for free. Red Dead Redemption posters, stickers, t-shirts and playing cards were available for fans who were willing to put in a small amount of effort to obtain them. Various Rockstar employees were on hand to help out with the demos, greet fans and hand out their various offerings. With Rockstar giving this much attention to a simple DLC pack, we can only imagine what they will pull out for their upcoming games and future GTA games. For various pictures from around the convention, check out the images below.

The Rockstar booth was encased by walls with giant images of the Undead Nightmare artwork. Within these walls were many demo stands to play the upcoming pack and discuss them with the Rockstar Games staff.
