Allows to copy weapons hands positions from one weapon pack to another or from one weapon to another within one weapon pack.
Wrote it for personal usage, but I thought some (mostly modders, I suppose) might find it handy.
Used this tool to apply EFT weapons position addon Moddb.com to my STCOP 3.4 adaptation Moddb.com for CoC 1.5r7. Not everything worked as intended so when changing presets each weapon has to be rechecked. At the same time EFT to Anomaly vanilla weapons showed better results.
You may ask, why not just copy paste new coordinates? Main reason is because weapon packs have different number and types of scopes for every weapon. And it is also faster to push few buttons, instead of copying each line file by file. There can be several variations of same config files for different damage setups which multiplies complexity of manual file editing.
What it does:
1. Copies unscoped HUD hands position and orientation, ironsights and grenade launcher aim offset values from one weapon .ltx file to another.
2. Automatically recalculates offsets for every weapon HUD with scope. Some scopes still may require additional adjustments after this step.
Weapons without any scopes are good to edit too. Perhaps, it is even more effective like that.
If you don't like particular weapon position and want to try something else - this might help.
How to use:
1. Add preset from .ltx weapon config file (weapon position from which you want to copy).
2. Select single .ltx weapon config file or multiple files (which weapon position you want to edit).
3. Select preset from list (added or existing).
4. Apply preset to selected file or files.
Make backups of files you edit.
Of course, you still have to set appropriate hud_fov in-game.
How to run:
Install and delete as ordinary win application (was built on x64 system so probably won't work on x32). Shortcuts will be added to desktop and startup menu after installation is complete.
Path is User\AppData\Local\WeaponsReposition
Uploaded to Anomaly addon catalog because it is most active atm. However program can be used for other weapon packs, but some are not compatible. For example, have tried to set BaS hands position for STCOP, but it just moved weapon outside of screen boundaries.
If this does not belong to selected category - let me know I'll move or just archive it.
Editor does not change item_position and item_orientation values.
Editor will not fix broken weapon aiming if it was already broken before new preset applied.
There is a requirement for weapons config files: weapon unscoped HUD must be declared in .ltx files before (above) scopes HUDs. Although this is standard.
Keep in mind that some weapon packs only work with 16x9 values.
I don't know if weapon from 'x' weapon pack will work for 'y' weapon pack, this you will have to try out by yourself and maybe tell others about your accomplishments.
v1.1 Fixed editor showing all presets at once instead of only one selected. Delete program from control panel and install anew
v1.2 Remove multiple presets at once, copy filename as preset name when adding preset if selector is active, add suffix to preset name
