About:
This is SkirmishMultiplayerSCAR map designed for 2x2 or 3x3 battles
(see additional info below).
New content:
New decals, and some sounds for SCAR scenario.
Quick install:
Unzip and copy "dxp2" folder in your Dark Crusade directory
(example: "C:GamesDark Crusade"),
since "dxp2" folder already exist in Dark Crusade,
you may be asked to overwrite, select yes.
SkirmishMultiplayer:
play map as regular ones,
just note it designed for templay (like "Bloodshed Alley (6)" map).
How to run map in SCAR mode:
First you need Tyranid_DC mod (v 0.45 or compatible) been installed and activated,
select map and use following game settings:
positions - Fixed, win condition - Annihilate
(other can be acceptible but may break SCAR rules or make match too difficult to win);
All 6 players must be assigned; Players 1, 2, 3 must be in one team and
can be any combination of races you want;
Players 4, 5, 6 must be in another team and all must be TYRANIDS race;
if those conditions fail, match will be played as regular skirmish.
How to play SCAR match:
(Note: strongly advised to play on Insane difficulty, yes fun is proportional to difficulty)
If your game setting where correct,
you can notice time counter on the right, showing time in percents;
To annihilate the whole Tyranid hive cluster, viral attack was used,
but incubation process will take some time;
Firstly your goal is to stay alive before virus activation
(primary concept of match is allied defence against overwhelming enemy forces);
when timer reaches zero, polymorphic viruses will disable catalyst, synapse
and ability to breed powerful Tyranid creatures;
In second stage you and your allies must press the attack and annihilate
all remaining Tyranid forces.
Ballance:
This version was not ballanced for all races,
so some races can have real difficulties to complete match on Insane, but others not.
