More variation between the different models of shotguns.
Changelog.
V 1.2.6
Fixed upload error. Again...... Sorry....... Option 2C was missing crucial config wpn_SG_Silencer_sounds if your game is crashing before at start up. Re-download, new zip should say version 1.2.6. I have a idea going forward so i don't need so many compatibility options but I am little busy with other stuff. Looking to return to modding here one day. but i will try to make sure my stuff works for at least the current version of Anomaly.
V.1.2.5
Updated configs using the latest configs from Boomsticks and sharpsticks November 2021 update
V.1.2
Fixed upload error. Option 2C was missing crucial config wpn_SG_Silencer_sounds if your game is crashing before start re-download, new zip should say version 1.2.3 sorry folks if this caused headaches it certainly did on my end
V1 For users of JSRS + BAS. ⦁ Added 3 new bolt sounds with 4 variations each. ⦁ Added sporadic shell casing sounds with 2 variations ⦁ Added 3 low decibel gunfire sounds with 4 variations each. ⦁ Reworked audio for all included shotguns. ⦁ For Boomsticks and sharpsticks users
Unique gun sounds for MP153_M Saiga12s_isg
Shared gun sounds for Saiga12s_m1 and Saiga12s_m2 Saiga and Verp 12
⦁ Reworked file and configs structure
Instead of moding JSRS configs for BAS weapons I created my own so it should be much easy to patch other mods to add my own layer table configs. If another mod overwrites weapon_sounds.ltx from JSRS one can just add
Any mod overwriting wpn_sd_sounds.ltx from JSRS will overwrite the sounds for the vanilla Saiga and Verp12 so a patch is needed. So far i think only, JSRS patch for blindsides reanimation touches this file and a patch is included in this addon. very few addons should overwrite BAS weapon configs just be sure to have my addon loaded after any that touch those. Or inform me of any issues.
For those that don't use JSRS there is still the vanilla sound files. No changes form previous versions.
Upgrading completely remove old addon first and then install this version .
Use Mod organizer 2 to your life easier.
Options in the this download. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ONLY CHECK ONE OPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ONLY CHECK ONE OPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
⦁ Check 1a - Vanilla Anomaly, if you do not use JSRS. ⦁ Check 2b - Vanillia Anomaly+BAS, if you do not use JSRS but do have BAS installed ⦁ Check 2a - JSRS ,if you have JSRS installed. ⦁ Check 2b - JSRS+BAS, if you have JSRS and BAS installed. ⦁ Check 2c - JSRS+Blindsides, if you use JSRS and Blindsides. ⦁ Check 2d - JSRS+Blindsides+ BAS, if you use JSRS, Blindsides and BAS. ⦁ Load my addon after others. if you insist on a manual install only drag and drop from one of those options.
Your previous mod worked flawlessly but it seems that I cant even start anomaly with this one. No crash reports or anything. I used the option 2d and put it behind jsrs, blindsides and BAS but it just wont start the game.
I am at work will have to take a deep dive latter
I think the 2 compatibility patches above my addon, in you load order may be the issue and why I did not see it on my end.
I don't have those in my load order.
We are trying to get like 4 diffrent mods here to play nice. all which modify the same couple configs.
My previous release you would have used the 2c option wich was for my addon to work with Blindsides and jsrs it did not touch boom stick and sharp sticks stuff.
And I did not touch the weapons_sounds. ltx. So no issues occurred.
Also I could not get the current version of BAS jsrs sound merge to work with the most recent version of BAS on my end.
I had to patch it to load.
Then make another patch to pa have it work with my addon
This fix I have not released publicly.
I messaged that mod Arthur about the issue l offered my patched configs had not heard back yet.
I might make my own version of that mod.
Any ways I guess just use the older version of my addon it's still available look here for updates as I figure out the best way to get all this to work together.
one more thing try once more with my addon download the latest version i just uploaded ifthe game fails to start go into your anomaly folder look in appdata, logs, then sort by most recent modified. open up that file.
scroll down to the bottom of that log and paste the last couple lines.
Same here. Looks like these options (2c and 2d) are missing "sound_layers\wpn_SG_Silencer_sounds.ltx" file. Or perhapsd they're asking for it unnecessarily.
Yes I forgot to add wpn_SG_Silencer_sounds to option 2C your problem should be solved now. Re download the addon and it should say version 1.2.3 on the zip and your good to go.

2D was not missing the file so you may have installed 2C by mistake just download the addon again and let me know if you have further problems.
There a couple compatibility patch's for other mods that may not paly nice like BAS JSRS merge.
Thank you. I wasn't sure if this "wpn_SG_Silencer_sounds" file for 2C should be the same as for the other options, so I didn't feel too comfortable copying it manually from another option to 2C. Anyway, thanks again for correcting it.
I will only add that I use 2C myself, I mentioned 2D previously based only on a cursory inspection, it is very possible that I was wrong about whether it works or not... Sorry about that. I saw that the comment above mine mentions 2D so I hooked up. This is not a very good habit when reporting problems.
For anyone having crashes at launch, 1.2.5 broke the thing that was fixed with "2c" in 1.2.3 again. Simple solution is to just copy the "gamedata\Configs\Items\Weapons\sound_layers\wpn_SG_Silencer_sounds.ltx" file from any of the other "2" options to your install.
Yep my bad. I fixed it. Not really that active here right now, and I must have just used the slightly older version to reintroduced that error when I updated for the last BAS update. I have a idea to make it so I don't need so many options its easy to miss something in one set of options.
I would use this mod if it would implement the sound changes only via DLTX, I use Eft Reposition plus alternate sight and the saiga files get overwritten which is bad. But I have no clue if a DLTX would be possible.
EDIT: Because your sounds are much cooler than the original ones I merged the overwritten files, it was much less work than I thought because I did the work already for the weapon_sounds.ltx (Only had to copy your include line at the top) and add the snd lines into the EFT Reposition weapon .ltx which otherwise got overwritten.
Yes there is only so much compatibly one can try to bake in and I don't think DLTX would help here since my mod and EFT are changing the exact same thing.
But I tried making the mod in a way, so end users would only have to add a few lines to their own configs.
