Description

Multiplayer map for Jedi Academy, based on the location from KotOR. Contains ported textures. After years, I release this unfinished map by popular demand! I never intended to upload it so it's normal if there are holes, no lighting, etc. This map was made for fun, I wanted it to be accurate and full of sideways and vicious traps. I have just packed this pk3 after a long time without practice, so if there's any structural problem with it (i.e. : "there no .bsp file!"), don't hesitate to pm me.

It is all thanks to SecretApprentice here that you all can now download this map!
I intended to keep it for me and make them bury it in my grave.

I would be SO awesome to have KotOR and TSL along with all the minor details that exist between KotOR and TSL all playable in one massive JKJA mod.

Indeed^^. It would need SO much time and investment too:)

yes it would be a massive project but the end product would be amazing. Also I think that due to all star wars related props belonging to lucasarts (who are now dead, so I would assume they are now EA's) one could theoretically use assets from KotOR and TSL in JKJA. it would be like using Dragon Ago Origins assets in DA2. (at least I believe I saw an article about this issue a while ago, like about a year or so ago, so don't take my word for it:D)

Yes and no. Bioware have the advantange of detaining the source files, and staying on the same engine. Porting assets from one engine to another is significantly more work, even if it isn't as much as creating everything.

One map in itself is very long to make alone, so such a mod? It would be more reasonable to raise some funds and get a team together in a studio.

I tried once to recreate a map from KotOR by simply getting the models out and sticking them into JKA. The problem is that the two engines work way too differently from one another, Kotor showing only hand-made models while JKA comes from Quake III and massively uses brushes. I got terrible problems from it, not to mention .md3 is bogus.

nice map, i hope you plan to update this map in the future so we can have all of the tombs, some more npcs to fight, the shyrak caves, along with probably the tomb of ludo kressh and probably the sith academy, or if you can add that the entrance could do fine, and then make the academy interior as a separate map, i hope you will reply to this to give me feedback on these ideas :]

Well this was the idea at first. But I did this map somewhat six/seven years ago and won't work on it again for many reasons.

Still, thanks for your review!:)
