For those of us that are old enough to remember a major motion picture called Bridge on the River Kwai, then you will know what this is all about, for those who don't I will try and give some info to help. The first version of the River Kwai Bridge was finished in 1943 completely in wood. The bridge was built by POW's in 1943 under guard of the Japanese Army and was intended as a Supply line to fight the British at the Burma border. So on to the map that I have created for Real World Landmarks. I am going to recreate the wooden bridge from pictures I have found on the Internet and from pics of the old Movie posters of the Movie it's self. I hope everyones likes it. It is playable in all modes.

Very nice work mate, I reckon what would make it even cooler is if one of the bridges appeared to still be under construction and was missing a section of the track.
I loved the little prisoner pit too, that was a nice touch :D
Overall great job, the only major crit that I have is that you should add some variety in your textures, it looks so bland having that dense jungle cliff texture or whatever it is used as your ground texture everywhere. I'd also try and block off the boundaries to your map with cliffs rather than simply using the raise tool.
Anyway, great job, I like what I see ;)
Thanks for the ideas. Once I enter a map in the contest am I able to revamp it and then resubmit it?
Ok, I played with the texturing to break up the monotony of the Jungle floor, it looks better and I made a few changes with the village on the other side of the bridge. I had a look at some cliffs along the boundaries but found not so good frame rates the more I added so i left it as is. The map is updated but it takes a day or so to get up there. Cheers
A really great job man...a really like this map...why haven't I tought of that :)
