Adds SR-25 DMR for CoC 1.5 R6 with AO 3.1 installed - READ DESCRIPTION!!
IMPORTANT NOTE:
ONLY works with CoC 1.5 R6 with the unofficial Arsenal Overhaul weapon pack (https://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl/addons/arsenal-overhaul-31-for-coc-15-r6-unofficial).
Should also be compatible with Lost to the Zone and Lost to the Zone: Living Legend for CoC 1.5 R6.
PLEASE backup your gamedata folder in case something goes wrong!
Description:
Adds the SR-25 DMR from the STCoP/STCoM weapon pack. All credit for meshes, sounds, textures etc. go to their original creators. It's my favorite gun from the pack so I ported it over for my own use in CoC 1.5 AO.
This is mostly a straight port, with slight changes. The weapon configuration file is in the old non-alphabetical style as found in the original weapon pack with necessary changes to function within Arsenal Overhaul.
How to get it in game:
The gun can be purchased from Nimble or spawned with the debug spawner. It can be modified with the 7.62 suppressor and the M203 grenade launcher.
To install:
Simply merge/overwrite the gamedata folder with the gamedata folder provided.
Known issues:
- Currently none
Files that will be modified/overwritten (assuming no other mods apart from Arsenal Overhaul for Call of Chernobyl 1.5 R6 are installed):
trade_loner_nimble.ltx
weapons_modded.ltx
st_items_weapons.ltx
weapons.ltx
debug_spawner.ltx
ui_icon_equipment.dds
Changelog:
Update 1:
- Improved item description
- Fixes to item position in inventory by PYP (thank you!)
- Firing sound changed (suppressed firing sound remains the same)
can you make one for 1.4.22
If it's not available in the STCoP pack for 1.4.22, I can look into porting it from STCoM later.
Port to 1.4.22 now available here: Moddb.com
If you find any bugs/problems on the 1.4.22 port, please comment on that mod.

The mod at least for me doesn't work at all. Crashes right away and i mean right away. Once I try to open it an error happens and that's it.
It's tested on the vanilla base game with AO 3.1 added. If you get a crash, it likely means you have some other mod or mods installed that conflict with the files in this mod.
Also make sure you downloaded the correct version of the mod for your version of the game. There is a version for both 1.4.22 and 1.5R6.
Do you have in plans to port it even for 1.4.22 version?
Hey, good job man. SR25 is one of my favorites.
Noticed your known issue
I edited Icon positioning for SR25 in ui_icon_equipment.dds
edited silencer positioning coords in the config file for the sr-25 to fit the main weapon.
changed weapon shoot sound to m16_fire1, it sounds heavier which seems more fitting for a 7.62x51 round.

Thanks so much for correctly positioning them! I also like the other firing sound more. I'll update the main file.
Update 1:

No problem man, you're welcome. Thanks to you too
Update 2:
- Changed misfire start condition to be in line with other guns in AO
- Reduced the condition deterioration to be in line with other guns in AO
- Increased bullet hit impulse to be in line with other .308 guns in AO
- Increased bullet hit power to be in line with other .308 guns in AO
To update, re-download mod and overwrite.
So this just adds in the SR25 without replacing any other weapons? If so, that ****** sweet. I would love some more DMRs for AO, simply just dont have enough as well as some snipers. (We need more shotguns)
It does not replace any other guns.
Now one of my favorites, too. Thanks for the great add-on. I only had one weird bug that was easily fixed- adding the gun somehow made my 1.5 desktop shortcut link to my 1.4.22 saves. Just created a new shortcut to fix.
I modified the Gnomus scope for this rifle by adding a red dot to the crosshair. Helps when you're sniping in the dark. It can also be done with the original AO scope.
Check it out--> Oi67.tinypic.com
It's AO counterpart the G3SG1 has a dot. So I thought... It isn't fair that the SR-25 doesn't have one. lol
It's easy to do with Paint.net if anyone is interested...
1- Download Paint.net --> Getpaint.net
2- Go to "gamedata\textures\wpn" folder and look for the file named "wpn_crosshair_mark4.dds"
3- Open it with Paint.net
4- Use the zoom tool to zoom in close to the center of the crosshair
5- Use the paintbrush tool and set the size of the brush to 6
6- Pick the color you want and slap a dot smack dab onto the center of the crosshair
7- Save file
8- Enjoy!
thx
