Version 1.1 of the CTF map by Windebieste.
CTF SPACE PIRATES! - Version 1.1
This is yer Captain speaking. This is it, Boys; strap on yer magnetic boots and get ready to board! We've crippled their main drive engines and have blown the seals off of the airlocks. So 'git Uranus over there' and do some serious damage! While yer there, make sure yer grab anything of value and bring it back to our ship.
It's booty haulin' time! Now, let's do it.
Space Pirates is a Capture the Flag only map set in deep space between two opposing 1950's style 'Destination Moon' rocketships. You will need to navigate each vehicle and the intervening star scattered void in order to complete any Flag capture objectives.
This is my first released F.E.A.R. map. As such, this release is primarilly aimed at helping me to more thoroughly understand the editor; and for testing purposes and balance issues. As I have only spent 2 weeks on this experimental learning curve effort, this is a small map so don't expect anything too grandiose.
The nature of the map means that both spacecraft possess narrow corridors. Large numbers of Players are not recommended due to traffic and crowding issues. Maximum no. of Players should be capped at 10.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
This is an improved and updated V1.1 of the 'CTF SPACE PIRATES!' map. Installing it will overwrite any earlier previous V1.0 of the map that may be present if you already have it. Installing this updated version is recommended as it is not compatible with V1.0.

Game : F.E.A.R.
Title : CTF SPACE PIRATES!
Version : 1.1
Included Files : CTF_SpacePirates_V1-1.txt - This 'read me' file.
ctf_spacepirates.arch00 - Game data.
Release Date : April, 2008.
Type : 'Capture the Flag' only.
Author : Phil 'Windebieste' Wlodarczyk
Email Address : firstname.lastname@example.org
Editor Used : WorldEdit
Base : Scratch built from the concept up.
Prefabs : Yes. miscellaneous Ladders, barrels, crates and hoses. All other geometry is original.
Construction Time : about 12 days.
Processing Time : 30 seconds
Known Bugs : The map uses a Gravity Volume at its centre. While this Volume works well for Players and keeps them floating in space; other objects - for example: Bodies, dropped Weapons and Flags etc. - will fall to the 'floor'. I don't know if there is a work around for this issue, if there is one, please let me know.
While floating inside the Gravity Volume, Players, colliding with geometry can cause damage to themselves. When exiting a vehicle it is recommended that Players make a clean exit without jumping and then access a door at the same level opposite their exit. Once again, if a work around for avoiding such damage is possible, please let me know.
Please report any other undocumented bugs. Your feedback can make a difference if I choose to release an updated version.
New Sounds : Yes. A sample from the 1956 movie 'Forbidden Planet' soundtrack provides the background music.
New Textures : Yes. Well, it wouldn't be a pirate themed map without a Jolly Roger present, hey.
