A HUD balanced between being clean, minimalist and informative, good for everybody, versatile with various options to choose from.
___________
DESCRIPTION
___________
SidHUD.
Influenced by DHUD (which is made by "Fox"), I wanted to make one for myself, with a different attitude.
The idea is to keep it "clean", but also as informative as possible without being too finicky about "minimalism".
The HUD is left-oriented, every details will be on the bottom-left, including ammo and the like.
You should find that it is rather complex at first sight but you should be able to learn it easily.
For more information, you can look down into "DETAILS".
For whatever purpose you downloaded the HUD, other than to steal it, I hope you enjoy it.
I'd like to thank "Fox" for the influence, he has one of the best HUDs for STALKER, despite not exactly being fit for the gritty theme of STALKER.
Big thanks to "RavenAscendant" for making the script(s) to make SidHUD functionally perfect.
I call it SidHud because it sounded cool. Besides, Sidorovich is True Wish Granter. PAVLO YEST? HABAR PRINIOS? Udachnaia ahotee, Stalker.
___________
INSTALLATION
___________
NOTE: The mod was made with MO2/BAIN format in mind for ease of install, give that a try.
It also contains a FOMOD for MO2.
For manual install, it should be simple;
1. First and foremost, install the first file, in this case it's "00 SIDHUD MAIN FILE [INSTALL FIRST ALWAYS]", extract it to your main Anomaly file.
2. The rest are "Addons", install whichever you'd like in order.
* Check the "MODDING GUIDE" to know how to make some minor tweaks to your digression.
- SidHUD is made by components which, by default, all are enabled. If you want to disable some, just go to the options menu then UI/HUD, go to the bottom, everything should be explanatory if you hover to the text. English & Russian text available.

OPTIONS/ADDONS INFORMATION
___________
- MINIMALIST EDITION. Changes the layout and positions to further make the HUD more compact.
- MIRRORED EDITION. Mirrors the HUD, so everything but some elements (like the Minimap) are to the right.
- DIFFERENT COLOR SCHEME [DARK]. Grittier, grungier, darker aspect to fit better with STALKER's.
- DIFFERENT COLOR SCHEME [BARS]. Overlaying bars with a contrast that mixes between light and dark.
- [MINIMALIST PSYBAR FIX]. If you are using any of the "Different Color Scheme" variants, use this as well in the end.
___________
PROBLEMS/TO DO
___________
X The options for SidHUD won't appear unless you're in-game. A fix for this is only possible by using RavenAscendant's MCM mod.
X Keypads will make many of SidHUD's components disappear, as well as cause other issues. This is a vanilla bug, not fixable by us.
- The HUD was based on 16:9, specifically, 1920x1080 (1080p). It might work on 16:10 and 4:3 but with some minor issues. Hard to make this perfect for all.
- It's recommended you don't enable "Autohide Stamina Bar".
___________
DETAILS
___________
- HP BAR.
The HP bar has been separated into 5 gauges.
This should be used as indication of when using a medkit would be theoretically worth it. Technically, a medkit should cover 3 gauges.
When you reach the last gauge, this should be an indication that you really ought to heal yourself, because at that event you will suffer from low-health effects and might die from just one 9x18 bullet with a Stalker suit on.
There is a high-contrast bar that should indicate you are at 100% health.
-- HP PREDICTION BAR. Enabled through options, this will show a subtle bar in the HP bar that indicates exactly how much health you will recover when using a healing item.
--- RADIATION BAR. Enabled through options, this will show another bar on the Health bar that goes from left-to-right, to indicate the amount of radiation you have.
The bar is shown as a glowing orange up-and-down bar, if it reaches a black bar it will turn red to indicate the severity further.
- STAMINA BAR.
The Stamina bar is separated in two.
The little gauge is an indication that you have reached a point where you can't sprint and you instead walk very slowly.
There is a subtle bar that will only be visible when you're very low on Stamina, the bar should be used as an indication of when you'll be able to run/sprint again if you have reached the "slow walk" event.
There is a high-contrast bar that should indicate you are at 100% stamina.
--- BLEEDING BAR. Enabled through options, this will show another bar on the Stamina bar that goes from left-to-right, to indicate the amount of blood you are losing and how long it will take to stop bleeding.
It is shown as a from bottom-to-top, opaque-to-transparent blood red bar. The only indication is at the start, where it may be best to use a spare bandage since the less you are currently bleeding, the slower your bleeding decreases.
- PSY BAR.
The Psybar is now a subtle, transparent line.
There is nothing too special about it.
- FIREMODE COUNTER.
This will indicate which firemode you have chosen, I intentionally made it subtle. Should still be good enough to see "for a glance".
- UNDERBARREL GRENADE COUNTER.
This will show how much grenades you have for the Underbarrel GL. X means you have none, you can reach as much as 99 before you break the HUD layout.
- AMMO CLIP COUNTER.
The Ammo Clip Counter has been made to be better in contrast and bigger, a subtle background is used to make it so that it won't disappear from other high-contrast details.
- AMMO MAGAZINE COUNTER.
This has been added and is on top of the ammo clip, from top to bottom you get from tissue-piercing to armor-piercing.
You can reach as much as 999 before breaking the HUD layout.
- ARMOR BAR.
The Armor bar is separated by bars of 10%, so each time one is missing it is a clear tell that your armor lost 10%.
Reaching lower than 90%, there will be a less-detailed "high contrast" warning indicating that this is the best time to use repair items that only do so at 85% or higher.
Reaching lower than 50%, there will be a "high contrast" warning indicating you can't manually repair it, need to go to a Technician.
There is a high-contrast bar that should indicate you are at 100% armor. (This one is much more subtle than others though)
A text-based percentage indicator is available as an option, go to Settings>UI/HUD or in MCM.
- WEAPON CONDITION BAR.
The Weapon Condition Bar is separated by bars, each being 25%. When MINUS 10% or 20% reaches, a subtle black bar will appear that becomes much more visible later on.
At 70%, you'll reach the high-contrast bar, this indicates that the weapon will be now prone to jamming and it's best to repair at this moment.
Lower than 70% will make the high-contrast bar disappear.
The bar starts from being highly saturated, the top being much more than usual to indicate "Pristine" quality, to desaturated.
A text-based percentage indicator is available as an option, go to Settings>UI/HUD or in MCM.

I have been using it a couple days and is a pretty good hud. Is there any chance to add the ammo type on it ?
What do you mean "ammo type"?
If you mean between new and old, that's already in, it's the "Old Ammo" option.
You must make sure you don't have other ammo available.
I mean AP/FMJ/EP or Slugs/Buckshot/Darts. Is that already in?
Thanks for your answer :)
Yes it does, the header shows it; "TOTAL Ammo Counter"
Update 12, Hotfix 1
- Fixed a major issue where apparently it was impossible to save configurations when you do not have AMCM.
Was just about to report that, thanks for the quick fix :)
The minimalist version still appears to have the issue of not saving changes in the settings menu. The option to apply changes doesn't appear
Have now added MCM & all good from front menu & in game with MCM :)
Update 13
- SidHUD now has FOMOD support, this makes installing it much easier and faster since it is now automated.
Manual install is still possible of course, else I wouldn't have made it.
Just to let you know the imgur link is dead at least for me. You might want to reupload, though I think I found everything I need in the page picture.
Really liking your mod so far. I love the options in the game settings, but I just noticed the armor and wep condition bars disappear when aiming down secondary sights. I'm using BaS for weapons. Anything I can do or is this a bug?
Screens:
I.imgur.com
I.imgur.com
Seeems to be an issue with BaS itself, although it's more like a "non-bug that acts like a bug".
Bars work just fine in vanilla Anomaly, even with secondary sights on other weapons.
From what I can guess, BaS thinks your secondary is a "3D scope", so it hides some UI.
Don't know how to fix it, might be something in the weapon config files itself.
EDIT: And just in case, make sure you know you have the latest Anomaly, SidHUD and BaS.
This addon kinda makes my food and drink icons to partially clip into the bottom edge of the screen
I am very sure I have included a guide on how to fix that in the "MODDING GUIDE", this is the text itself:
HOW TO MOVE THE "Status Icons"
This one is recommended for those with resolutions lower than 1080p.
1. Go to "gamedata/scripts" and open "ui_sidhud.script".
2. Find "status_hud_y", if using Notepad++ it should be Line 38.
3. Change Y value to something lower, like 6 or 0.
I just installed the mod and during the rain I killed a mutant that attacked and it's blood was a black square on the ground what caused this??
Not this mod, that I can guarantee without a doubt.
AMMO CLIP COUNTER
Man how to disable??? I'm playing with Mags Andon
Check the description/readme and the "MODDING GUIDE", the information you want is most surely in the modding guide.
10/10 love it mate, going straight in my basket. And then the keep forever folder. ;)
Thank you for your kind words :)
Update 14.
This update makes fixes, most are minor, but still significant. Also adds new additions.
- Added a "Mirrored" version, this will move all HUD displays (except some, like the minimap) to the right.
- Added "DIFFERENT COLOR SCHEME [BARS]", this will use a bunch of complete bars, with a contrast between light and dark, instead of separated ones.
- Fixed the Psybar background for all versions.
- Improved the "Healing Progress" bar, it is now a subtle bright-red-and-glowy-green that appears on the bottom of the bar, makes it both high in contrast and very subtle, as it should be.
- Status Icons are now not moved down by default.
Thanks For The Lovely Update On This Exotic Hud.
Master Strogglet15 .
Hi,
Can the amount of ammunition in the magazine be turned off?
Besides, the mod is great!
Thought I put it in the "MODDING GUIDE" but I didn't, here are the instructions:
HOW TO REMOVE CURRENT AMMO IN MAGAZINE
1. Go to gamedata/configs/ui and open up "maingame_16.xml"
2. Scroll to the bottom until you find "static_cur_ammo", from here onwards:
3. Change y="740" (or "x") to a huge number, like 9740
NOTE: The background will stay, you can remove it only by editing the texture itself. A better solution would be to simply use "Minimalist" edition since it has no background for the ammo.
It works!
Thank you very much for help!
Good job. But for me, ***IMHO***, it's still way too colorful. Something Misery-style would be better for my personal and weird (and dark) taste.
Use the [DARK] Scheme then, or give me examples of what would be best.
I don't want to make something that is MISERY-styled, though.
Update 15.
If you use Direct X 8 or 9, update immediately.
I have finally found a way to fix the ever-so annoying issue of the textures being stretched.
thanks, is perfect, simple and not intrusive!
my hud is broken; there's a weird blue box around it and it does not work at all. no hp and stuff; just empty; Any idea what I could **** up?
Imgur.com
Seems your HP & Stamina bars are missing, but I have no idea how that could be.
Anything that is a black-blue texture means you're missing the texture, did you install the mod correctly?
I think yes; but i might be just a *******. Manual install.
I copied the gamedata from 00 folder into anomaly folder.
Then I did same 02 dark bars;
I also installed the newitemhighlight mod, bart's minimap and sortingplus.
You should be fine with all those addons, also manual install is not an issue because the author Blackgrowl himself does it as well.
I still have no idea why you'd have an issue like that.
For whatever reason the stamina bar doesn't deplete while sprinting, is there an option I've missed?
nvm I'm just a ******* who has very high stamina regen. I don't run out of stamina while sprinting I guess

hello? how i can disable all 'things' except icons hunger sleep food etc? mcm wont disable it
Beautiful hud just I wonder if it is possible to make it bigger, like its size because now I got to strain my eyes a bit to get a good reading off it.
Sadly, there's no way to make it bigger, I might make it as an optional if there's a lot of feedback.

I have this weird bug that popped up today when I changed my visual settings. In the visual settings the sliders that are used to change the setting have disappeared. Any idea if this is related to Sid hud?
Imgur.com
Nope, SidHUD makes no changes to the minimap itself, it's caused by another mod.
Thanks, I wasn’t sure if what mod could be causing it.
Does this happen to be compatible with addons that replace ammo box icons like Maid's Icons, or does it have the vanilla ammo icons hardcoded in?
Yes, it is compatible with all Icon Retextures.
Hello friend, I'm using Cr3pis Icons mod for the ammo icons, they show properly in all inventory screens (mine, merchants, stashes, etc.) and Maid's Vanilla HD Icons for the rest of all the items. I.imgur.com
The issue is the next one: the ammo icons visible in the HUD are the ones from Maid's mod. I.imgur.com
Even after deleting the files for the ammo icons on her mod these keep on showing, I think that's because inside the [ui_icon_equipment.dds] file there are ammo icons. I.imgur.com
I tried by erasing these graphics from the dds file, but then I just get a blank space instead of showing the icons from Cr3pis mod
I also searched inside the config files for any kind of reference to ammo icons, but I didn't find anything.
Sorry, I can't actually help you with this, last I remember you should be able to see Cr3pis' icons if you installed an addon or so.
Your best way to get help is by asking Cr3pis or Maid, or even both.

Working fine in 1.5.2 so far, only problem I have is the stamina bar isn't visible when it's full.
