The Shrine of Mephala's entrance is in the same place as the altar once was (to be consistent with the shrine quest). However, entrance into the shrine is barred until the player proves themselves worthy to stand in the prescence of Mephala. Speak to Taros Dral wandering near the door to the shrine about "sensitive matters" to start the quest that will grant you access to the interior of the shrine.
Well, the motivation behind this mod started out as a simple statue resource for the Daedra Prince/ss Mephala. All of the other Daedra have a proper shrine of some sort paying homage to them, but Mepahala got the proverbial shaft (no statue, no shrine, just an altar and bowl in the main Morag Tong Guild Hall). So I set out to cobble up a statue for the patron Daedra of the Morag Tong (for others to use in perhaps one day building her a proper shrine). Once I had finished the statue, however, I felt the desire to continue on and build her shrine myself. And thus the mod began to snowball into something completely off from its original intention as a simple mesh resource.
If the quest is completed to Mephala's satisfaction, then the door will open. If not, then the door remains sealed.
Once completed sucessfully, enter the shrine and speak to the statue inside to recieve your reward (as was apart of the games original quest design, and not a part of the mod itself). Also in the shrine, a group of Morag Tong NPCs will offer you various services (if you are a member of the Morag Tong, Thrall level and up, that is):
Neria Omavyl: She is a lvl 3 Nightblade who offers teleportation/transport to the other Morag Tong Guildhalls as well as the options for enchanting, spell making, and spells for sale.
Lessia Omavyl: Neria's younger sister. She offers alchemical services by selling ingredients and books for the players use (she has a varied selection that once purchased will eventually be replaced with a new and different ingredient or book).
Aradel Hlaavu: A giant among the Dunmer, Aradel will sell you weapons and armours befitting the servants of Mepahala. The new armours that he sells
include The Mephala's Servant Set(less than DB armor), a very good set of BB light armour that is very light and enhantable (with various options for hoods, helms, wigs, masks) Aradel will also sell you the Shadow Servant set (comparable to DB armour), which is stronger variation of the Mephala's servant set with a darker theme (almost wraith-like). The armours are for male and female alike (as I am an equal opportunity modder). He will also sell an array of assassin style weapons, including the Fang of Mephala (one handed short sword) and a two handed longblade by the same
name. These are very good weapons, befitting a servant of Mephala (as they
are spider themed as well). There is also an off-hand version of the short sword for sale (for that dual wielding effect). An enchanted bow and arrows are also sold by Aradel. When the bow is drawn, thorn like protrusions emerge from the limbs (a great feature indeed).
Torvyn Lovallu: a level 35 master of the Morag Tong who offers training in his dark and mysterious art.
Teryl Bethalo and Valranu Rothari: Sharpshooting guardians of the shrine.
A bow and arrow mean quick death in their hands to those who decry the sanctity of the shrine.
Also in the shrine are the Avatars of Mephala. These giant spiders are passive guardians of Mephala. Should you anger them by attacking, then be warned as their poison is lethal.
Small ghostly spiders skitter in and out of the mist of the shrine. These widow wraiths are also harmless, meant more to be apart of the ambience of the shrine, rather than an agressive creature.
I have included Unique heads and hairs for the NPCs in this mod which are also playable should one choose to use them. In addition to the heads created for the Dark Elf NPCs, I have also made the Mephala heads available for the Breton, High Elf, Imperial, Nord, and Wood Elf races (male and female).
A SPECIAL NOTE ON THE EXTRA STATUE INCLUDED:
In addition to the statue that I have added in game, there is another version included in the "x" folder which uses rusty red coloured textures (which are in the "Textures" folder).
This statue is just an alternative for modder's use.
