Generals Missions Conversion

Description
This map Pack Converts and Overhauls the old Vanilla Generals Mission maps, so they are playable with RotR. You also have the option to start the missions from the main menu. I also added the lost third GLA mission "Black Sheep", that was completely done, but cut from the final game. My map pack includes three difficulty options (Easy, Medium and Hard). The differences between those difficulties are...;
On Easy the AI only uses T0 units (Rebels, Battlemasters etc.)
On Medium the AI uses T1 units (Rocket Buggies, WASP Hives etc.) and T1 Upgrades (AP Bullets etc.). Also, the AI now tries to counter Airforce and Stealth. And the AI uses General Powers and abilities like fortification.
On Hard the AI uses T2 units (Paladin Tanks, Grads etc.) and T2 Upgrades (Anthrax Beta etc.). The AI starts to react on your force (with a high amount of Tanks the AI starts building Units to counter them). Same for Infantry. And of course more General Powers.

3. Copy and Paste into your root folder (where your "ROTR185_Lnchr.exe" is)
Download and install Moddb.com if you want the briefing voice.
Notes
- My work is free to use.
- Stormbringer: tends to crash before the victory screen, reloading a save fixes the issue.
- Almaty Supply Raid: Infantry dies when exiting buildings or vehicles.
- I'm no longer interested in converting the Vanilla Missions to Shockwave, since WARthogBasilius already done that: Moddb.com. I don't see a reason why I should do the same.

Fantastic! Thanks, man! Always wanted to play both vGen and ZH campaigns in RotR. Sorry for not being modest enough, but will you make all other missions as well? I don't know anything about modding maps or campaigns, but I could try if you need any help.

Not bad but would be even better if you would remove overlords general power and some other powers that are not available in missions as well.
Also command center missing faction bug.

I already have majority of the missions from zh converted to rotr minus the bugs you have mentioned up top all thats left to do for them is import the missing animations and objects that were removed from zh for rotr as well as the last 2 gla missions, i don't have the motivation to 100% finish them anymore, started them back on 1.87 test build 1 (current 1.87 is technicly test build 15) several months ago was gonna wait for 1.87 to be fully finalized before i went back to finishing them up.
so if you are interested drop me a pm and ill be happy to transfer the files over to you.

Oh yeah, I've also noticed that none of the voices (The Chinese advisor, the Ferry captain etc) play/ have any sound when they're supposed to be talking on Hong Kong Crisis.
I know what you mean. It is because the mod is in Zero Hour (RotR) directory and the audio is in Generals. So while you play a mission the game tries to call a audio file, which is not there.
That is something i cannot fix.
Not sure i will look into that when have time.
I did ferry voice, will send you map and tutorial links how to use generals voices in ZH and in mods.
But i was only be able to insert Ferry voice because it states in the codes its for ferry for others its hard to find them because their codes do not suggest what do they say.

loving the remakes. only problem i found so far, easily fixable, is that in G-5 down from the skies there is no way for the player to detect and counter the stealth fighters. Since they drop their payloads with out ever coming out of stealth? idk if it is on my end, or intentional, but with out the teir 1 scout upgrade its impossible to counter.
It's possible. You still have Oberservation Vans. Build 5 or 6 of them, disguise them, built up your black market and then buy the oberservation scanners. After that you can use your quad cannons or stinger trucks.

im not trying to be " one of those guys" but would it be possible to add a difficulty option? ive seen a custom option in a couple of custom maps where the host would choose a certain spot for an AI and it would determine how hard the game would be. Im currently not a programmer and have no idea how difficult, though i know it is, it is for you to do this. I thought i would ask. (edit: when i say difficultly, i mean like stronger attacks, or something. anyway thanks for the missions love to rehash old times)
It is possible. I could make different difficulties as separate maps, for example;
- G_3_Black Sheep_Hard
- G_3_Black Sheep_Medium
- G_3_Black Sheep_Easy
However this is not on my priority list so it will take it's time. I will probably do it after finishing the USA campaign and fixing most bugs.
But still it's a good idea.
it honestly would provide a lot of variety, honestly, i think in the final GLA mission it was too easy because the US never actually attacked. While the China took too long and never sent any of the heavier stuff compared to the original mission.

Nope, tried it multiple times and the upgrade is not there. I thought the same thing, got the black market, looked for the upgrade and it;'s not an option.
On top of that the bombing seems to start way to early since you can barely get the black market up before the stealth bombers come in.
As far is i can tell in the mission you have no way of actually detecting stealth units and it makes the mission pretty much impossible.
Alright, i loocked it up. In the scripts i found that the "gla scanners" were set to not available and on the same time, by a new script, available.
Now i deleted the old one and moved the oberservation scanners to the warfactory.
Also increased the timer to 200 sec, before the ai starts bombing.
I will test the new version and release it later.
even though it has been fixed. i was able to beat the mission solely on the fact that AI targeted my BM, which was the only reason i was able to survive because of how strong it was. I kept killing the units that came in and was finally able to get 3 stars. Turns out the mob that spawns is OP as hell.

Mr_Skittles kindly provided a majority of ZH missions so it will not take that long to complete it.
BUT, I still want to finish the vanilla Generals campaign, adding difficulty options and fixing bugs.
So maybe in the next two weeks I will start working on the ZH campaign.
I found a bug in Desperate Union. When the rouge Chinese General is revealed as working with the GLA and the MiGs appear, the game crashes. Happened to me a couple of times already.
That's odd. You say when the MiGs appear? I will try to find the cause for it.
I think that is what AssaultO-Consciousn meant.
Well, I'm not sure if it's because of MiGs, but it definitely crashes when I get to the Chinese part of the base. I don't know. Maybe the problem is on my end, but it does crash every time I get to that point.
EDIT: BTW, great work so far. I've been having a blast playing the campaign after a decade or so. :D

The problem is not on you're end, it also happen to me as well. I probably found the cause for the crash and currently working on it to fix it.

I love the mod, one thing though. I tried to add this campaign add on, but for some reason I do not have maps section to add it to anywhere in my ZH files. Mod works fine without it, but I would like to try the add on. If you have any suggestions.
You have to add them to
"Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Maps"
not in the core archive (where the .exe is).
The readme wich, is in the .rar, also contains the instruction on how to install it and more.

Hmmm I've played most of the missions i've noticed the AI wasn't edited at all. I was planning to do a campaign revamp for generals as well ( adding some Russian and ECA elements to it, as well as new objectives ect..)
Mind if I use this as a base? ( I'll ofcourse give huge credits to your work. )
