Conversion of Respawn Mod/Curse of Immortality for A.R.E.A mod. Mainly to be used as a starting point for a more stable Respawn Mode.
After multiple personal message requests and some personal challange I managed to convert the "Respawn Mod/Curse of Immortality for Anomaly" to A.R.E.A.
Unfortunately as I do not really play AREA I cannot test or fix a lot of bugs that appear due to engine and script differences. This release is more of a proof of concept that Respawn Mode can work with A.R.E.A. This conversion and upload is more for other modders to take and make it more compatible with A.R.E.A
The mod is based on the latest 1.0.7 version of the mod, but with a few features disabled or removed, due to incompatibility with AREA
Disabled/Removed features:
- Thieves - Chance for NPC to take your item when you die
- Respawning at specific spawn points depending on your faction (can only respawn in last slept location)
- Health/Stamina degradation
- Hunger after respawn
- MCM support
- Secure Container
As there is no MCM support the only way to modify the mod to your liking will be by directly editing values within respawn_mode_mcm.script file.
Known Bugs:
- Random crash when respawning (an autosave should be made before crash happens, so just reload the game with the latest Autosave)
- Crash when dying while having Inventory screen open
- Rare: dying right after respawning
- Occasionally game will crash when dying (only encountered once in my testing)
How to use it:
Just drag files from 0.4 folder to AREA/gamedata folder. If it asks you to overwrite any files, then there will be incompatibilities with other mods that you have installed.
Do not need to start a new game, it is compatible with existing saves. ONLY REQUIREMENT is to sleep in a bed after installing the mod as that will set your respawn point, there is no pre-determined respawn points.
