Carinth, you're the best! I've used all your configs for each Dead Space during my marathon run, and each one brings up the quality to modern standards. Looks great, thank you for compiling all of these modifications into one simple step.

Okay, just one problem. Using this addon, and it seems any graphical addon, disables Origin-In-Game-Overlay, which is necessary to access DLC content and any multiplayer operations. Any idea what causes this? Could it be removed to make it work?

Hi, sorry I missed this. What I found was the same, it seems to become disabled by any graphics add-ons like this. You can either purchase the dlc through the games library listing in the origin menu, or temporarily remove the d3d9.dll from the game folder, start the game and purchase any dlc through the menu there. Once downloaded and added. Shut the game down and re-add the d3d9.dll to the folder and it will work with the new downloads normally. I'll see if I can find if anyone has come up with a fix for the overlay.

Thanks for making this mod! It looks far better than anything else out there. The other SweetFX configurations are either too mild or too drastic for me personally. I also want to add that you can circumvent the Origin overlay issue somewhat by simply alt-tabbing out of the game and accepting/sending invites directly from Origin.

For some reason, Dead Space 2 always crashes as soon as I launch it...

Hi,

Try turning off the ingame overlay first.
(Origin game overlay)
If running in admin or compatibility, turn that off.
If you still have an issue, upgrade the reshade as directed on the description and make the setting alteration. Incase it's just a issue with the older reshade & upgrading usually fixes it.
Lastly make sure you have the dx9 final release installed as it is required by reshade and sweetfx, link and notes are on description also.

When using this and updating reshade then the screen goes entirely black when switching sweetfx on I think, (can't see properly if sweetfx is on or off)

But without updating reshade and staying on 2.0 works just fine

Hi,
Yes that's an issue with the newest reshade version 4 updates.
You can run it fine without the update, or use a version 3 update or down and that will also work.

Is there any possibility to reduce the color saturation ?

Hi,

You can reduce the vibrance in the SweetFX_settings.txt. Change it to .10 and that should help bring down the saturation levels.

HDR settings will also effect that, but try the vibrance change first.

Anything else let me know.

This is brilliant. It's like night and day. I can't believe how much difference this makes. Just ramps up the quality of the visuals with better contrast and colors. Thanks for this!
