Yes. It's a secret weapon. Can be found by opening up your PDA and pressing ALT + F4. Just kidding Hahaha. I think that must be some pneumatic tool from a alien sapaceship.

I'm experiencing this bug where the AK74U sound is the same at all ranges. Like if a stalker is shooting at me from 200 meters away, it sounds like he is shooting from right next to me.
Its really disorienting and brings me out of the experience. Is there a fix for this?
I have the same problem, as soon i found out the fix i'll update the mod.
This is a great mod, but there's a bug with the AK74U. The sound doesnt change volume with range. The sound and volume of the gun firing at 300 meters is the same as 5 meters.
Its really startling and annoying. Can you fix this?
As others have mentioned here, it seems you missed the AK74U when fixing the distance issue in the latest patch. For now I'm just using the vanilla sound for that particular weapon to alleviate that but look forward to a fix as it fits the weapon nicely. I haven't run into this issue with any other weapons thus far but will let you know if I do.
