A addon for Project Brutality 2.03a with new gamemodes and difficulties that I made to experience DOOM modding for the first time. All credits for Project Brutality go to pa1nki113r and all credits for Brutal Doom go to Sergeant_Mark_IV. Changelog is available if you click "Read More...". UPDATE: Fixed some ammo-related bugs and added an addon for the UDV HUD (You need to load this with AND after the Project Brutality mod for the HUD or it will not work correctly). Update #2: Made this into an addon for Project Brutality (thanks saegiru!) Update #3: Fixed addon loading problems, limited the Death Bringer's dual weapon arsonal to only a couple automatic weapons (Rifle and Autoshotgun), fixed animations and updated sprite on the "Demon Rune Mode", and added the "Lagzilla" blood level.

Added 4 new difficulties:
- Doomguy Must Die - The player and enemies all can deliver one hit kills. Watch out.
- Easy as Pie - A very easy difficulty that no one should play because it is pretty easy, don't you think?
- Legendary - Your enemies are stronger than you and you get less ammo, so you must think before you act.
- Sandbox - Experiment and explore while not taking much damage.
Added 2 new classes/modes:
- Death Dealer: Same as the normal Project Brutality Doomguy, but with faster speed, spawns with all weapons, the ability to change melee modes without a beserk pack (R), the ability to dual wield any weapon that can be dual wielded, and spawns with the Minigun (3 minigun upgrade) and Shotgun (Dragon Breath rounds upgrade) upgrades. RIP AND TEAR!
- Demon Rune Mode: Spawns with no weapons or items besides the Revenant fireball launchers, jetpack, and claws.
Added 2 new blood level options to the Brutal Doom settings - RED & Lagzilla.

not to sound like a stick in the mud but why cant there just be addons FOR PB instead of conversions? there are a good chunk on here already as it is, and either way these additions (speaking for all conversions) are small, and should just be used as a patch that can be added on, so yo dont have to have a long download time and just re-downloading PB itself, and instead just have the patches and possibly the ability to use more than one at one time! But i do like what youve made here a lot! Quick question, when you say "spawns with all weapons" do you mean starts off with everything? Along with this "red" option, whats that like? and i know what you said about how it can over ride some code but isnt there a way to prevent so?

The Death Dealer spawns with almost every weapon (including some secret ones). RED's blood level is larger than ovedrawn at blood bank (RED spawns 999 blood particles/decals while overdrawn at blood bank uses 666). Reason why I can't make this an addon is that the DECORATE and almost every weapon's code has been modified so they can have 999 rounds overall.
There is no reason that can't be an addon. Just make a pk3 with -only- those files that contain the updated code, and make sure the files are named the exact same. It would be like my Realistic Reloading add-on for BDv20b... All I did was copy the DECORATE scripts from BDv20b, modified them, added my own ACS scripts and some new sprites, and boom... 113k, but it completely changes the behavior of the weaponry.
ZDoom parses files in the order it receives them, and overwrites all but a few special case files like KEYCONF.
So for example, if you modify the basic rifle and SSG in PB, copy PBRIFLE.txt and SSG.txt to a new pk3 file, modify whatever you want inside of them, save the pk3... and boom you're done. Then when people load your pk3 AFTER PB's pk3, yours will override PB's code, and your pk3 will only be a few kb.

Where's the setting for the death dealer and demon morph mode? It doesn't show in the presets or when you select new game.
They should show up in the menu before you choose a difficulty or episode. I only tested this on Zandronum 3.0, so I don't know if it'll work as well for other ports. If you can't find the settings to change your class then just see if you can change them in options > player setup.
Ok, I found it. Turns out the UDV hud was getting in the way of it.

No, the menu for this is probably using different names than what UDV accounts for from PB. UDV menudef probably needs to be modified to point to the right things, or this needs to use the names PB uses.

Here is a much smaller pk3 (185 KB) that you can load after Project Brutality 2.03 that only includes the changes, and not the entirety of PB.

Bitl, I'd recommend updating your official addon to this file from this point forward and just put your changes into it, so people don't have to waste time downloading the entire PB again just to get your changes. I used a program called WinMerge to identify the differences between your version and PB 2.03, then just extracted those changed files into a separate pk3.

Hmm, like what? Everything seemed to work for me, but you know your mod better than I would.
when gzdoom/zandronum loads, it prints errors about overriding classes. Will fix this later today.
Please make this add-on to PB... There's like over a dozen versions of it already and when I update it to 2.1 there will be a large amount of inconsistencies between versions, not to mention your preview picture is exactly mine with added text on it, confusing people.

Its pretty damn cool. The only problem I have with it is that in death bringer mode, the mg42 has no kick or wave sprites. But overall, its awesome!
I don't see any new difficulty option here bro, only the two new gamemodes. Also I'd like to report a bug. In Demon Run Mode after you die you can still shoot, melee and use the jetpack.

here is my solution for this "Script error, UDV_v1.84_A_BASE.pk3:animdefs.txt line4: Bad syntax":
1) Open the UDV_v1.84_A_BASE.pk3 with 7-Zip.
2) Open the animdefs.txt with notepad editor.
3) Remove the last word 'random' from the following lines: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12.
4) Save and close the animdefs.txt file.
5) When 7-Zip asks if you want to update the content of the UDV_v1.84_A_BASE.pk3 - simply agree this.
6) All done.
BTW I'm using this UDV with the latest Zandronum development edition and project brutality: everything works great (I only get a script error 271 or something at every start of a new map - anyone got a solution for me?)

Really cool! The legendary difficuilty is just what i was looking for!
However. when i reload it just throws away my reserve ammo and doesn't actually replenish my magazine :(
Also i just noticed that this bug ONLY occurs on that difficuilty level.. pls fix 3:

Okay so I fiddled a bit with the MAPINFO file.
It seems that, in PB, the variable AmmoFactor does not actually dictate how much ammo is being dropped by enemies.
I tried setting AmmoFactor = 2 instead, and now suddenly, whenever i reloaded, only half the missing ammo i replenished in my magazine was taken from my reserve.
So my guess is that AmmoFactor is kinda broken..
This looks like it could be 1 of my favorite ad ons only problem is that I can get it running completly, however, it doeant show the 4 new difficulties 1. Doomguy must die, 2. Easy as pie, 3. Legendary and 4. Sandbox or the revenants jet pack or the lagzilla blood level. I am running it on the kewest version of GZDoom. Sorry if I sound incompetent with all this, I am just still getting used to using mods like this. Am I doing somethimg wrong or what. Thanx in advance for any help I get to take care of this issue. I tried to load PB2.03 1st then this Bitl ad on 2nd.? Thanx$!!!!
