Description
A new weapon replacing the Predator's Pistol with the "Burner" or "Plasma Cannon" inspired by AvP/Predator literature as well as the movie AvP: Requiem. The speargun and disk from the Predator Weapons Pack addon are included. If you do not install AvP Redux 2.0 before the Predator Plasma Burner addon you will be missing textures and the game will likely crash. READ THE INCLUDED TXT FILE FOR INSTRUCTIONS.

oh man! this is amazing! what programs are you using to mod this cuz i would love to make a few additions myself :D Also is it possible to change out the music?

I'm using the official AvP Gold SDK, 3D Studio Max 3.1, and Photoshop. The catch is you need AvP Gold Edition in order to install the SDK, and 3dsmax 3.1 will not run on anything after Win XP 32 bit.
I haven't looked at the music in a while, but they're all bik files in the FMVs folder. You'll have to use the Bink and Smacker tools and somehow convert an mp3 to the correct format/compression settings, backup the original music file, then copy over the new one with the original's name. I only did it once and that was for the uncut Predator intro. Theoretically the process is the same.

Ah i knew there would be a trick to it. Sadly i don't own a computer that runs windows xp. I may look into doing a mod that replaces the music with the soundtracks from the movies. Thanks for the reply.

This mod left me speechless for maybe a week:) ...coz I couldn't stop using it in the Redux for a week or so:)) But actually I'm commenting on the post coz I have an idea for a wristblade mod! I think you gotta know the 'Predator: 1718' story from 'A Decade of Dark Horse #1' comics. Predator has a sword there. Is it possible to somehow add it to the ingame predator? And if yes could it be like he's reaching it forth(with a paw) when you choose a wristblade(but not instead of a wristblade, coz I think that wouldn't look cool) and he's making only a thrusting move with the sword(mouse2) but not the swinging move(mouse1) or vice-versa, anyway... are you interested in making this kind of mod at all?!
