An addon that replaces for the meantime the voices of GLaDOS and it's cores, the turrets and the Party Bot with musical instruments.
Note: This is my first attempt on making something for a game that uses graphics. I'm a totally blind user so I'm concentrating myself only on the audio, but I hope this piece of work will be werthit.
Imagine yourself waking up in Aperture's laboratories, but instead of your favourite AI powered supercomputer talking to you, it only uses a musical instrument to give you information? What happen to the other devices in this lab?
For the time being, This Addon replaces the voices of that supercomputer "GLaDOS", the turrets and the Party Escort Bot, plus the different cores of the supercomputer. I didn't dubbed the comments yet, but I will try to do it in the future whenever I have free time.
For fans of other VG's: I had put some other videogame melodies on the dub, so save them as a surprise! or not?
Feel free to comment, positivize and or negativize, say that's good, neutral or bad, notify me some errors, etc. But most importantly congratulate me, as this is my very, very first attempt on making, or customising, a video game, as I on the past was modifying games that were bassed on audio only IE "Audio Games".
On the zip file attached you have the install instructions, but if you cannot open it, or you're internet is very, very slow or you're simpely want to know how to install addons, follow them right now.
To install this addon, you need to go to the following folder. While on 32bit operating systems will be C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Portal\portal, in 64bit operating systems shall be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Portal\portal.
Create the custom folder if you don't have it. Inside of it, drag and drop, copy and paste, or extract the folder named "Portumental" on that folder.
As this addon is mainly instrumental (IE dubbed only with musical instruments) some people will have difficulties understanding what they're talking/playing. If that's the case, turn subtitles on.
Without further ado, let's test instrumentally!
ima use this as a folder structure for my own mod
