This mod adds a full motion blur effect to the game. It also adds a bleach bypass effect. These are all tweakable using a .fx file (open with a text editor), so you can increase or decrease the potency of each.
Applies a Gears of War-style full-screen motion blur effect to the player view based on their movement and how fast they're looking around. A copy of Timeslip's OBGE is packaged with this to save you some runaround. The download location isn't very well-known and I think this should be a bit more permanent.
REQUIRES A SHADER MODEL 3.0 OR NEWER-COMPLIANT VIDEO CARD. I AM
INVESTIGATING IMPLEMENTING AN SM2.0 VARIANT THAT WILL ALLOW BASICALLY ALL USERS TO HAVE THIS WORKING.
UPDATE: Fixed to work on all SM2.0-compliant hardware. Basically if you can play Oblivion, this will work.
UPDATE 2: Fixed an issue involving missing textures and blur being applied in the wrong direction.
UPDATE 3: Performed some optimizations, added a framework for image color grading as seen in the newly-released game Crysis. In the meantime, I've implemented a similar effect used in film/cinematography called a 'bleach bypass.' This creates some nice additional contrast and doesn't blow the image out, at least after some tweaking by me. The effect can be toggled or made less effective by editing the PostEffects.fx file, look inside for details. At full strength, the overall image feeling works great for flashback/horror sequences.
Also created a framework for Gears of War-like blood spatter on the screen, as per the one and only Skycaptain's request. The effect is fully implemented but disabled due to bugginess; expect Deadly Reflex to make use of this in the near future :)
