A single player map where you control a single unit in third person, on a large battlefield.
IMPORTANT!!!
--This is not my map! It is the 'Munich' level from the single player campaign, edited to my purpose. I did not fully create this map and only take credit for what I changed!WHAT IS THIS MAP?--If you've played my previous "How's Your Tank?" or "Battle of the Whitehouse" then this will be very familiar to you. Basically you play a single unit in the third person while fighting on the battlefield. You will start with the choice of choosing your particular unit (and faction). You will then become that unit and will have to direct it around the battlefield, doing whatever you want. It is important to note that there is no 'end': your allies and enemies will always keep respawning. If you die, you too will get to respawn as well as change your unit if you like.--The choices are:
GDI:
Predator,
Commando,
Pitbull,
Zone Trooper,
Venom.
SCRIN:
Corrupter,
Devourer Tank,
Shock Trooper,
Stormrider (as Plasma Missile Battery),
Devastator Warship (as Gravity Stabilizer),
Mothership (a cheat unit - let's see if you can find it :D).
--In the selection view, you will see a Tech Centre, an Armory, and a Technology Assembler. You can click on these to buy various upgrades for your units. In order to get money, you'll have to find money crates on the battlefield. But not all crates give you money, some heal you while others do nothing.
I can't find the Mothership?
It was supposed to be a secret thing for you to find by yourselves, but if you really want to know..........: when the level starts (and you're viewing the selectable units), you may have noticed that you can still move around with the mouse and arrow keys. So simply move backwards a bit and if you're at the right distance, you should be able to see the mothership above the Tech Centre. Click on it to become it. NOTE: the mothership doesn't respawn and you can only find it when you first start the level.
i have to say it's quite difficualt to play when you cant look up and down, alo it would be a cool idea if you could still use your special ablitys, becuase i doun't know the hot key.
frankly with this idea you are sitting ontop of a gold mine (Of ideas) and you really should start to expand, consider createing a mod to go along with these maps so that the battles become more epic, you could change the upgrades into someting much better as well.

It'd be really cool to have a Renegade or Battlefield like mod with this sort of view. This could be done in worldbuilder, but it would definetly benefit more from being done as a mod. Unfortunately I can't mod. I haven't really got the time to learn and do it. :/

Perhaps you coud team up with one of the many skilled modders out there and turn this into something cool. I definatly want to see more of these maps with more unit choises though regardless of whether it becomes a mod or not.
P.S.- I cant find your "How's my tank? map. :( I wanted to play it after playing this.

And Igncom you can use the special abilities by enabling the HUD
by pressing End.
But it would be cool to drive a Tripod!!!

Unfortunately I can't really do a tripod. I had already attempted it and the view just wouldn't work the way I wanted it too. I couldn't leave it the same because it meant that you could only see the bottom half of the tripod and it would constantly get in your way when you'd try to click on things. As for the special abilities; I didn't purposly try to stop you from using them. The reason I disabled the interface was because the radar made it harder to click on things and it obstructed view.
So theres no way to raise the view without doing some serious control interface and camera UI modding. :( Have you heard of C&C:NE addon? that camera is sort of like what you may need. maybe we can get them to do an addon specifically for this type of map ^.^
P.S. If you cant do a tripod, how about a mammoth tank or a Planetary assault carrier. ONe other thing, Sometimes I have difficulties selecting a stormrider since the corrupter gets in the way a bit.
ok nevermind the tripod mr.bullet, map is great though, it feels like Battlefield 2142.
humph....Mr.Bullet PLEASE PUT SOME OBJECTIVES HERE,I HAVE BEEN FLYING A HEROIC GREEN LOBSTER WITH FORCEFIELDS FOR TWO WEEKS, you could create some sort of fps style campaign with this.

For some reason i cannot see the map, i put it in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Maps but still cannot see
