Do you mean inertia/handling?

Idk what's the difference, I just like my look sensitivity to stay the same regardless of the weapon.

Inertia is part of handling. It controls how quickly you can swing a weapon to bear. Long heavy weapons can't be whipped around like tiny light weapons/pistols.

This characteristic is Class dependent. Did you modify one FOV and class or all twelve sets of weapons for the 4 FOVs x 3 Classes?

I changed the "control_inertion_factor" value to 1.0f in all the weapon files in gamedata\configs\weapons

Ah, that is just your current FOV and Class. It's fine for an addon for that Class and FOV, but there are 11 other combinations (sets of files) in the MISERY_v2.2.1\data\scope_tweaks in the folder you unpacked from MISERY. The MISERY installer takes the correct files for your class and FOV from that scope_tweaks FOV folder for your chosen FOV and applies them to your installation.

In order for your addon to work for anyone using another FOV, or class, you will need to duplicate the work a bit more.

I'm afraid my project to make all the zooms match their descriptions greatly complicated weapons mods.

Well goddamnit :D I'm using Assaulter & 83 FOV so is it right to assume that if someone uses different settings for misery (recon & 75 FOV for example) they will get the assaulter & 83 FOV gun behaviour if using this addon?

Exactly. They would have Assaulter specs and actual proficiencies even though the descriptions would say different. If they were using a 5X scope it would have a zoom slightly more than 4X.
The FOV folders set the scope zoom accurately for each FOV played, the class subfolders determine the descriptions, specs/proficiencies of each weapon. In your case though, it's not all that difficult. careful use of the notepad++ replace feature could replace the existing line with your 1.0f line in all the files at once. Then players would install your addon, reapply their class, and resume play. No restart required, no crashes I can think of.

You are a beautiful human being. Never understood why the 'handling' stat is a good idea in an FPS game.

I have 2 questions and a reminder.

Question 1: What does 'crosshair_inertion' do? I heard that if you want to adjust the control_inertion value, you might as well adjust this one too.

Question 2: Is there any way to configure the ADS sensitivity in the game?

Important reminder: To play with the same sensitivity, you need to also set the same value for 'control_inertion_factor' for all the outfits in outfits.ltx since costumes also have hidden 'handling' stats and they change your sensitivity.

Thanks.
