Adds Stance icons in place of the stamina bar's running icon and/or Noise and Visibility meters around map edges.
I love the LA HUD. But there were a couple of things that it removed that I found myself missing as I played through 1.4005. Namely the Stance indicator and Noise/Viability meters. After doing some research into alternative HUD's and remembering just how bad the vanilla HUD was in SoC I decided that the only real option was to make something myself. I wanted to integrate both into the existing HUD in a seamless way.
The Stance icon replaces the stamina icon, so instead of a just figure running you'll get a figure standing, running, crouched, etc. depending on your current stance.
Inspired by the CoP HUD, the Noise and Visibility meters surround the minimap, with the Noise meter vertically on the right side and visibility meter horizontally on the top.
This is really two mods, but since they both change the HUD they have to be packaged together as one mod for both to work. However, I know there are those out there that hate the vision/noise meters so this mod comes in 3 flavors:
Stance and Meters
Stance Only
Meters Only
Choose whichever is to your liking. You can install all 3 but make sure only one is enabled and the other two are disabled with the mod manger in the game launcher. After installation the mod will show up in the game launcher mod manager and can be controlled there.
Installation:
1.Unzip the archive anywhere.
2. Choose one of the 3 mods.
3. Extract your chosen mod zip to the Lost Alpha Mods folder.
This isn't working on the latest 1.4007 DC Final.
Are you running any other HUD mods? Does the mod show up under the Mods tab in the Lost Alpha launcher?
I'm running it right now and it works fine. That screenshot is from 1.4007.
I'm also using the latest version 1.4007 DC final, but I also use other addons like dynamic HUD, blood effects and others so then this might be a compatibility issue.
The stance icon disappears and there are no noise metres.
The blood effects mod works fine but Dynamic HUD likely causes conflicts. I haven't tested it myself.
Having the same problem. Uninstalled all mods and only left this one, even started a new game and nothing. I've unpacked the xdb0 file and have it installed the old fashion way, inside gamedata, and nothing. Any help is appreciated, I would really love to have this mod!
A bit too late, probably, but i just did what author's instructions told me, enabled all mod channels in launcher, deleted (not just disabled, straight up uninstalled) dynamic helmet hud and only ran launcher after installing the mod. So the order was: 1 - enable all channels; 2 - delete dynamic helmets hud; 3 - close launcher; 4 - install mod how author described in mod page; 5 - run launcher and see if the mod is in the mod list. It was already enabled. And i caught muself on the fact that i didnt actually notice that mod was functioning after loading in game - thats how subtle the changes are. I hope it would be helpful, at least for future mod users.
Can you pls tell me how do i install it on newest version ? old method dont work pls help :/
How did you get the NPC minimap indicator working?
