This mod now takes full advantage of JSRS layering.
My first mod redirected JSRS to my sound file instead of using JSRS layer tables.
That method also did not play well with other mods using the weapon_sounds config.
By figuring out how to trick JSRS to use my sound file. I stumbled onto how JSRS works.
Which got my wheels turning.
So here we are.
Taking the base sound I used for vanilla anomaly, I created custom JSRS layers.
JSRS adds variation to each shot
You can use up to 8 different sounds with 17 variations each.
I not added that many variations............ Yet..........
But currently the main shot gun sound is made up of several sounds with 3 variations each.
Then I added in some cracks and other great sounds already built into JSRS.
So enjoy.
V0.9.2 Now compatible with Blindsides reanimation pack. (Load my addon after Blindsides patch for JSRS)
Options in the this download. For vanilla anomaly players there is still an option for non JSRS user. Vanilla anomaly plus BAS is also still supported.
But if you do use JSRS this will take full advantage of JSRS layers. For a much more dynamic sound.
Install options only chose one option. USE MO2 it makes installing mods so much easier. When you open the zip in MO2 it will give you 4 options for your install. Only check 1.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ONLY CHECK ONE OPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Check 1a - Vanilla Anomaly if you do not use JSRS. Check 2b - Vanillia Anomaly+BAS if you do not use JSRS but do have BAS installed
Check 2a - JSRS if you have JSRS installed. Check 2b - JSRS+BAS if you JSRS and BAS installed. Check 2C - JSRS+Blindsides if you use JSRS and Blindsides.(Load my addon after Blindsides patch for JSRS)
if you insist on a manual install only drag and drop from one of those options.
This should be compatible with most things. I no longer modify weapon_sounds.itx. Unless you have a mod that overwrites a couple of the shotgun's configs from BAS or wpn_sd_sounds from JSRS(the layer tables). You should not experience issues.
Future Plans, As of now they all the shot guns use the same silencer sound. I would like to add a little variety to the different makes. OR perhaps if i am really ambitious overhauling shotguns sound all together.
New youtube video example of of JSRS silenced shotguns
Awesome work, is there ANY chance we can get non silenced variants of all the shotguns? That's one thing that bummed me out is that all the shotguns sound the exact same, and to me they're kinda bland (at least with JSRS, I don't even remember what vanilla sounds like anymore lol)
I will see how much work giving silenced shotguns a little variation is
Only like 3 different shot guns with silencers.
There is a lot of regular shot guns.

On blindside will it go?
Hypothetically yes. If you using jsrs and the jsrs compatibility patch for blindside.
Not tested my self yet but it's should work
scratch that i just looked at the patch available it does edit wpn_sd_sounds looks like i will have to add a patch
Updated it will work with blindsides. Make sure you have version 0.9.2 of my addon it will have a new option to install with blindsides.
I was waiting for this.
This is really nice! Powerful, with a tasteful amount of that sexy No Country For Old Men sound effect.
Sounds somewhat realistic! Nice
