Upscales menu screen to 1920x1440
Also replaces the main menu logo with one that's less out-of-place
Felt a bit strange for the only decent HD menu screen to be 1024x768 at a time when 1920x1080 is practically standard resolution, so i put aside some time to upscale it.
Still have no idea how texture definitions work so for now only the logo and menu background are changed. (Logo might be a work-in-progress)
The method i used to do the upscaling on the background is very low-effort, but highly effective if the image has just enough detail to avoid crooked edges. I loaded it up in an art program (Krita on the Ubuntu software store) and set it to the resolution i wanted and then used the "sharpen" and gaussian blur filters in conjunction to gradually sharpen it with as few rough edges as possible.
Saves a lot of time that might otherwise be spent repainting things by hand for hours.
//// Version 2: Now includes credit screen as well as Doom 2 main menu, intermission skulls and logo. Doom 1 menu logo has been colour corrected to be closer to the biggy boi ////
