For anybody who doesn't know what this mod is, it's an alternate version of Hoth that's more accurate to how it looked in Empire Strikes Back. It's WAY larger and much more open, and features a lot more tunnels on the inside of Echo Base that connect to outposts farther out as well a wampa cave with wampa spawns. There are also custom sides, with weapons designed to act like how they would in the movies (only one or two shots will result in a kill) and new custom vehicles. Additionally, hundreds of units are on the map at once.
This mod is one of my favorite its super fun and on elite ai it's definitely challenging. I am able to get about 500 kills and 50 deaths per game and not to mention how realistic it is. Love how many vehicles and units there are it really adds to the experience however classes could be improved. Awesome!
I got a question
what's with the odd Wampas sound being heard any time you spawn/do you think it will be possible to shoot down the transports instead of them being mere props
and shall we one day see this be improved on I also want to know what's the point of the control consoles as they don't seem to have really any usage
This is best with multiplayer for sure. There are some glitches, for example the Wampa growl every minute & the Rebels get hung up on assets inside the tunnels so not much of a fight when the walkers finally show.
I found it best to start as the the Rebels, use fake console to triple the rebels reinforcements and take that center CP then use Luke to kill that Wampa in front of the cave to stop the growl lol
IF Bantha is still working on this I would suggest fixing the assets in the tunnels & having the Rebels spawn at the two outer CPS as priority with manning the turrets as a key motivator. Or maybe have the objective being destroy all the control consoles instead of taking CPS that way the center one can start as Rebels controlled the hanger can be an invincible CP & all tunnel CPs can be removed?
what is this add-on about?
It's the same Hoth from "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.".
Doesn't include install instructions. Doesn't load or work properly.
Actually, it does work. What you need to do is move the ALM file into your addon folder and the map should show up in your list.
Well this is weird
What the hell is this mod?
A really nice map
so now we have 2 hoth maps?
