1) INSTALL
Put this folder in your Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour data\Maps folder.
Located under Documents and Settings. Remember to put the whole folder in your maps directory, otherwise it will not work!
It should look like this: "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Maps"
2) Notes
This is a 4 players map designed for 2vs2 battles, it contains 10 flags and 10 fuel depots and supports AI players. The map features not very traditional twists, for one capturing the flag at the top of the south west hill grants you sight over the area surrounding it, the same applies to the flag in the city next to the skyscrapper but with a lesser radius. You can capture a UH-60 Blackhawk at the airport and a radar van at the top of the hill. The rest is self-explanatory, so prepare for war, comrades!
3) Credits
-EA for making our beloved Generals and Zero Hour even though it's pretty bugged :P
-CWC team and all of its loyal fans who have made this possible with their wonderful work.
-Skleni for providing me with thorough help on creating this map :)
-And of course, me, Robok, who created this map ;D
4) Disclaimer
You can use this map for anything you want, just give me credits. Use it at your own risk! It shouldn't cause any trouble, but if it does, we are really not responsible for it, this goes for both me and the CWC team.
It seems like a good map i will try it out and rate it later !
the land texture and water looks dull.
robok in ur map game lagging for me awful.i couldnt play it.
First of all I'd recommend that you set the game speed at 30, that's the speed that Zero Hour is intended to be played in, and if it's still lagging for you then try playing the game in Network mode, I don't know why but for some reason it performs much better even for me there regardless of how well it did in skrimish.
Otherwise you could just try playing against other players, the AI is CPU-intensive and since the map is pretty large they're more likely to cause lag. I can't advice you with anything other than an upgrade :)
michael_fabella: Well I apologize for the lack of detail, this was my first map, started as an experiment but ended up releasing it afterall, as for the water there isn't much detail one can add to it except maybe islands and such, but I already stopped working on this map :P
thanks for reply robok.
first of all my system features are high.also i made the tweak which u mentioned on cwc wiki.
i ll try with speed 30 later.i dont like to play with people.i like to play with ai.(cwc ai is excellent i dont need a human enemy)when i send them heavy artillery attack they try to destroy my artillery.or when i use my airforce they begin to install sam systems.
but really ur map looking excellent.except that lagging case.
my dream map
2 player
day
ai supported normal skirmish map
tropical territory. 2 islands connected with only 1 bridge.
i also wanna ask another question.
all of the original cwc maps working excellent there is no any lagging.however like this map some of the user created map lagging terrible and impossible to play it.why is that difference?excellent skleni abilities?or in ur map forexample there are much civilian buildings airport skycraper etc.if u erase them maybe it doesnt lag?
i am interested with this map cos i loved and wanna play normally.
No problem :)
The size of the map often makes a difference in which the AI will scan and run its scripts in, other factors include the number of objects in maps (I tried to keep them to a minimum, the trees are often the most intensive objects since they have alpha maps). One other thing to consider is the pathfinding, ZH is notorious for its resource-hogging pathfinding for units (this is especially prominent when you order a large group of units to go to a location that can't be reached in a straight line).
I hope that you can find a resolution to the performance problem you're having, my guess that it's the AI since the map already doesn't have that many objects,
Impressive, I must say.
dear robok.i had erase ur map.but today i wanted to try again.i just loaded and checked.speed was 60 as always.but this time even 1 second it didnt lag.ai playing well.very big map also.all is good.but i didnt fix or tweak anything.i just reload and worked very normally.
also that system tweak i mean shortcut and no priorities very usefull.
after i did it i must no make other one yes?i mean game dat low generals exe high also other parameter i forgot.cos after shortcut prioriti tweak its now on normal settings.i mean gamedat normal generalsexe normal other one too normal.
You shouldn't worry about the tweak anymore, Skleni, our wonderful coder, has implemented the entire tweaking process within the starter itself, so as soon as you launch the starter the tweak will automatically be applied :)
ps. Map updated to v1.1, changelog:
-Added overall detail to almost everything in the map.

Nice
An interesting map, there is even a neutral base,
just wonder how you can capture it?
At the beginning of the game there were brakes, then the game began to go faster,
after level 7, saves are no longer recorded ...
