I know you said it does not work for multiplayer, does this include Co-Op mode?
I once heard someone talk about "networkables" as a component necessary for multiplayer on some objects. I don't know if that's the problem but might want to ask about it where BF2 modding is still active. Maybe the PR forums?
This mod was originally authored by Rockstar BF2. I just added new textures and sound effects.

Yes. You can set these objects to any map using the bf2editor
