Worry not, all you have to do is use the mod "Less Ugly Variety", get it here: Moddb.com

- "I have 'Fixed Clear Sky Textures & Models', will this mod be compatible with it?"
FVM by default already has the latest "Fixed Clear Sky Textures & Models" integrated, you don't need that mod.

- "Will this get an AI Upscale or something?"
Absolutely not. AI Upscale is for lazy pretentious folk, unless you know how to use it and the AI and texture are made for such a task.
Also, no, this mod is not and never will be compatible with any "ultra 4k AI HD upscale textures" or whatever mod.

- "What differs this from ****?"
FVM is a pack that fixes Vanilla Models & Textures, and doesn't add much, it instead replaces.
**** adds a huge variety of vanilla-oriented models, it also uses some materials from FVM itself.
IN SHORT; FVM fix things good, **** add things good, combine both to fix & add to make GREAT things.

- "I seem to have some sort of washed-out shimmering issues with Enhanced Shaders?"
Not caused by FVM at all, it's most surely your problem.
There is one possible way to fix it; Lower the "Sun rays base intensity", something as low as 0.025 should do.

[HOW TO HELP]
Would you like to help FVM or get helped? Then it's easy, first read the how to and questions.

First of all...
You should have Debug Mode enabled, then aim at a broken/bad model or so and press F7, then press F for "Get Info", this will display information to the left of your screen.
Paste that as screenshot or text in the comments.
Now please refer to the specialized FAQ above to help better.

[SPECIALIZED FAQ]
"Does your model appear to "disintegrate", especially on death?"
This can be easily fixed, just post a screenshot of the model acting like so and make sure you get info for it.

"Does your model have missing textures?"
This one is more an individual issue, but should be very easy to fix.

"Is there a model that feels oddly weak or too strong?"
For example, let's say a Bandit Leatherjacket, but he takes more than 10 shots to the head even AP bullets.
This is an error caused by the author, so simply make a comment detailing the issue and it will be fixed.

Dux himself recommends you load FVM last, which means you should install FVM last and let it overwrite Duxmod.

Is it compatible with "High Resolution Stalkers" (AI upscaled default stalker models)? Would like to see an addon to make them compatible if they're not. Default textures are too low poly and your work is just GREAT.

Nope, I've already stated in the F.A.Q. that no "AI Upscale" pack of any kind is compatible or ever will be with this mod.

Also, textures in FVM were made with care to make sure it's high-quality while still being in a lower-than-usual resolution, you can see that on the new Stalker Sunrise suits.

You still have permission to make AI Upscales, but please keep it to yourself instead, no public links.

NPC & Player models are shared, so yes.
Only thing that doesn't change are the hands, that's a whole different project though, check out THAP.

Great work! Some of those original .dds textures looked like they were recompressed over and over at like 4 bpp lol. Now Anomaly is much sexier, I don't even have to take nausea meds to play anymore. 🥳

Hello, I am saddened that you do not like the Nomad Suit, do know that if you by any chance have any suggestions, I'll consider it.

However, to remove it, simply go to where your game is at, then "gamedata\actors\stalker_neutral", in there you should find a file called "st_nt_1.ogf", delete it and it should be back to the original.

is it a problem with your file or GBO file? I Think with GBO because when I deaktivate "Fixed_Vanilla_ModelsTextures" it still crashes the same way.

You could have just read the FAQ, it's the second comment.

In short, don't use LUV, load CSVars however you want and load Duxmod first, FVM last.

Awesome, your work deserves more recognition man. I have two suggestions though:

First, could you consider redesigning the Nomad suit? While the new model is great, I don't really like the fact that it has lost the unique characteristics that it had before - mainly the backpack and full balaclava. It now looks too similar to the Wastelander suit imo. I know that I can easily bring the original model back by editing the file, but it would be amazing if you would think about making the new model resemble the original a bit more

Second thing, which probably would please more people than just me - fixing the weird hands of some important NPCs. It's easy to see in the Yanov station - Garry, Hawaiian, Cardan, Loki - they all have rather pale faces, but their hands have totally different skin colour. It's a small thing, and not many NPCs suffer from it, but it still kinda bothers me lol. Equalizing their skin tone would be great fix.

Still, you are doing amazing job dude, 10/10 for all the work that went into fixing all of these flaws which vanilla models had

Hey there, thanks for the nice comment that also has proper feedback for once.

For your first question, I don't like that model because it used assets that are not part of STALKER. If you notice, only STALKER assets are used, the sole exception is Nosorog simply because I can't figure out what better helmet can it use.
I'll try to find a way to make the Nomad look like it was in vanilla Anomaly without all the bad stuff.

For the second, yes, good suggestion. I forgot about the "Heroes" and I did notice that all of them had a "reverse facelift" where apparently they get ugly painted beards and their skin goes as dark pale as a fantasy Dark Elf.

Expect all these fixes on a special day this month :)
Tell your Anomaly-playing friends about FVM if you haven't already!

Great to hear that, thanks for the response! And yeah, when I think about it now the original Nomad suit in fact stands out from the rest in a weird way. But I'm very glad that you are considering improving the new one.

And don't worry, I've managed to convince some die-hard HD models fans to give FVM a try :D

I might change the colour of the Sunrise to something else.

Also, all the faces have been fixed, simply by just going back to using the textures from CoP, the current ones that Anomaly has are very bad, not just with the paleness but also some fake badly painted beards.

Nice, it differs from the Wastelander much more now. I feel like a few extra pouches/a small backpack to recompensate the chest rig of the original would be great to have, but it's still great as it is, no need to overdone it.
