This patch aims to add Cannabis cigarettes to the FDD ANIMATIONS + MISSING ANIMATIONS PATCH for S.T.A.L.K.E.R ANOMALY 3.0 (1.5.1)
Fixed a bug with the FFMAP patch, where the marijuana and joint animations used the default Lucky Cigarettes animation instead of the custom joint and marijuana animation.

Updated the mod to work with the newest version of FDD + FDDMAP, each are their own patch now. Installation README.txt is provided.
I'll start adding the FDD mod version in the patch notes for easier compatibility, incase anybody is wondering what patch is for what build (:

July 12th patch is not compatible/tested with FDDMAP and FDDVAT (FDDVAT might work) but is a seperate patch in of itself, so the older version compatible with the old FDD, FDDVAT and FDDMAP patch will still be included.

This latest patch removes the need for the Joint and Marijuana items to hijack another asset, there will be no more double Marlborough! MedsDenier the absolute mad man figured out how to let the Joint and Marijuana have it's own animation asset, and explained it pretty well in the comments, thank you Meds Denier, may we all hit celebratory dabs!
NB79 figured out how to allow the Joint and Marijuana to produce smoke for added immersion, thank you for that NB79! (2021-05-23)

Welcome fellow stoners of the zone, being such a cabbage fan myself I thought the addition of Cannabis to the game was fun and hilarious, and upon downloading the beautiful Food Drug Drink animations + the Missing Animations patch, I was excited to be able to smoke a joint in game with the animations. The Food Drug Drink animations mod was missing the Joint smoking animation, and the Missing Animations patch only substituted the missing animations with existing ones the FDD mod added. Thus, my baked ass with no modding experience spent 4 hours trying to figure out how to immerse myself in a radioactive cannabis wonderworld and replace the cigarettes with RAW joints.
However during the endeavor I realized I'm pretty damn stupid and have no custom modding experience whatsoever, s̶o̶ ̶c̶r̶e̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶n̶e̶w̶ ̶a̶s̶s̶e̶t̶s̶ ̶w̶a̶s̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶q̶u̶e̶s̶t̶i̶o̶n̶. Or so I thought, Thank you all so much, you beautiful community of stoners! Together, like monkeys, we strong; and new assets are now part of the question! (kind of) User/ MedsDenier helped figure out how copy a new asset from the existing animations assets and allow the Joint and Marijuana items to have their own asset by using the copied asset.
Adds animations for the Joint and Marijuana items, MedsDenier basically helped remaster this mod!
You must have FDD and it's Missing animations patch installed for this to work.

after you've installed these, FDD first and then the FDDMAP, you can install this by dragging the gamedata folder into your games directory and selecting replace all items. Patches are provided for FDDVAT and HQ Icons and the Joint and Marijuana item icons have been uploaded separately as well in the ICONS SINGULAR folder. README files are provided.

Any possibility of you patching it to the latest version of FDD as it seems the missing animations have been added? I don't believe missing animations mod is working with the latest version of FDD, and this requries that....

I've just updated my mod as well, Hope I haven't caused you guys to much trouble with my late fix. I've been MIA from stalker for a few weeks now, but luckily I checked back in time last night and noticed the FDD update.

And just a heads up, our script changes are no longer needed. Their is a new cigga_smoke.itx file that takes care of it now.
Yeah I saw that in the anims file, good on the FDD creator for adding easier modding support for their addon

I'm kinda confused. If I install the FDDMAP Patch version after FDDMAP, FDDMAP gets completely overwritten. Is it really necessary to install FDDMAP first?
As the FDD + MAP Cannabis Patch isn't completely dependent on FDDMAP, the FDDMAP mod, I ripped the script straight from BudBone to create the FDD+MAP CP, It would feel wrong if people didn't download his mod first to install my mod, you feel? One could argue that I'm making people do extra work that isn't necessary, but it just doesn't sit right with me.

Can't get this to work, both the Joint and the Marijuana have the standard smoke pack texture during the animation...
Do you have any other mods installed? And can you let me know if you installed the FDD only or the FDDMAP Patch. Thank you, I'll be keeping my eye on this comment and release a new patch immediately when I figure it out :)

I made it work with the "Optional" files which makes more real life sense, I will update and let you know if I require further help, until then well ... *passes blunt*
I have the same problem, i'm using FDDMAP Patch option and joints use normal cigarrette animation.
Is this still a problem with the latest release?
Edit: I think it might be items_anm_antirad.ltx messing it up. which I may have to tweak around with later as I haven't played anomaly in a while.

I don't know what changed but the mod's just stopped working for me entirely. I'm testing with only FDD, FDDMAP, and the cannabis patch enabled and using a joint will cause the cigarettes animation to play. If I try using FDD and the cannabis patch only, the camera movement and smoke effects will happen but the actual item animation never happens at all.
Alot of the naming structure has changed for the files we edit to make our changes in food and drug animation, I've got my mod updated, which Bongwatters mod relies on to work correctly. so hopefully he'll have an update here soon since my mod was just fixed today. Ill try and take a look to see if I can find a temporary fix for his cannabis mod.
Im having the lucky cigs aniamtions bug instead of the custom weed anim.. how can I fix this?
I believe the line of code that refers the objects to their designated animation still labels marijuana or joint to use the lucky cigs animation, I'm uninterested in this project now, and may pick it up when I play the game. Cheers
For the time being while the mods is discontinued I've updated and added this mod as an optional install on my missing animations patch.
