Overview:

Installation:
Drag the gamedata folder to the main installation folder of Anomaly

What this addon is doing? I can't understand
Aim downsight (ADS) makes sounds now, in EFT you could hear enemies doing ADS and act accordingly
What is ADS? 🤷♂️

This is a nice addition to the game.
However, I think you should change the title of the addon as it can confuse people that it actually has the "Recoil assist" mechanic from EFT.

this is really cool, the only thing I would say is, all of the movement sounds are mono, so it sounds really out of place and wide. having the sounds mono would fit a lot better

If i could make a request, could you also add a sound to when you switch between firing modes? right now there is no sound when you switch from say Single fire to Automatic.

I enjoyed this so much I use it in my Dead Air playthrough! possibly I will also with Misery 2.2.1 when I set it up
Yeah, the good thing with this mod is that you can use it on most CoC based mods at least

is there a way to make the sound louder? especially when the actor is running/walking
This addon is provided as is, if you want louder sounds, you can do it yourself easily with Audacity.
Can anyone tell me if they actually got this going on COC? I instilled a fresh copy and still cant get it to work
Could be, that the functions used in this script don't work for CoC, as they simply might not just exist in CoC.
Can I increase the volume of AIM Behavior i mean the sound it makes when i bring up the weapon?.

Is it possible to port it to COTZ? I tried installing but doesnt work. It works atleast for A.R.E.A mod which is also based on COC
Pretty sure COTZ uses an older version of CoC which doesnt support the code lines the script is using, theres really no way around this, it would have to be tweaked engine-side, I think

FOR RC15+ BUILDS:
1. Find gamedata/scripts/aimscript.script
2. Open it with a text editor
3. Look for these two lines:
aimInSound:play_no_feedback( ply, sound_object.s2d, 0, VEC_ZERO, 1 )
aimOutSound:play_no_feedback( ply, sound_object.s2d, 0, VEC_ZERO, 1 )
4. Change them respectively to:
aimInSound:play( ply, 0, sound_object.s2d )
aimOutSound:play( ply, 0, sound_object.s2d )
5. Save. Done

This mod would work, but the anomaly devs changed one method in a backwards incompatible way - the method play_no_feedback (which is used twice in the aimscript.script file) has a new parameter to modify frequency which either seems to default to 0 (so frequency of sound is zero = not hearable) or it simply defaults to null and silently errors out.
to fix simply replace both occurences of
play_no_feedback( ply, sound_object.s2d, 0, VEC_ZERO, 1 )
with
play_no_feedback( ply, sound_object.s2d, 0, VEC_ZERO, 1 , 1)
if you want some further frequency variance (the mod already comes with a set of 10 aim_in and aim_out sounds) you can alternatively use
play_no_feedback( ply, sound_object.s2d, 0, VEC_ZERO, 1 , random_float(0.9, 1.1))
which does nothing more than vary frequency a bit randomly

I just tried it and I confirm that it works. Just change the 2 lines that have:
play_no_feedback( ply, sound_object.s2d, 0, VEC_ZERO, 1
with:
play_no_feedback( ply, sound_object.s2d, 0, VEC_ZERO, 1 , 1)
Works like a charm.
