Enhancement Addons Pack (E.A.P.) is an addon pack made with the objective of enrich the immersion and visuals media of Call of The Zone, mainly improving four features: HQ textures, new effects, HQ models and sound overhaul with EAX.
Enhancement Addons Pack (E.A.P.) is an addon pack made for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of The Zone mod with the objective of enrich the immersion, improving four COTZ features: textures, effects, models and sound.
This pack does not affect Call of The Zone game mechanics and experience designed by DoctorX, one of the most polished Call of Chernobyl experiences. I only selected, compiled and ported (a few) existing addons (most for Call of Chernobyl) into a simple-use pack. Kudos to its authors, a complete and detailed list is in a PDF into in the pack and this description.

🎞️ In-game video (27 min in different maps, weathers...)
Since these images and videos were taken, I made some small changes, but they are representative of E.A.P. result. For example, EAX 3D spatial sound is not present in the videos, but you can watch this feature in this video.
ABOUT 1.2 VERSION, FINALLY STABLE!
You can play totally stable in 1.2 version! Forget crashes or lowering texture quality settings. With "no_staging" launch command option I tested all maps without problems. I included a .bat file for launch the game with this option easely! Tested on all maps and no crashes.
NOTICE
E.A.P. increases the necessary hardware requirements to play. A"top" PC is not needed (mine is 5 years old and runs perfectly). You must launch the game with the .bat included: “Stalker-CoTZ + EAP (ENHANCEMENT ADDONS PACK)” or using your own direct access with “-no_staging” option in the launch commands.
With “no_staging” option we could play at max quality without memory crashes. Tested with DX10 or DX11. It’s explained in the F.A.Q., in next pages.
Here is the list with the main pack contents (full list at “COTZ-EAP-Credits-Detailed-Addons-List” file):
🖼️ TEXTURES
◾ New high quality and resolution textures for a lot of items (materials, grass, wood, floor, objects…). New 2K textures from the famous Stalker Two-K pack and some more from Structures Redux and Absolute Nature Redux.
◾ High quality sky textures from S.W.T.C.
◾ 2D open scopes (you can swith to the normal ones optionally).
💥 EFFECTS
◾ Improved effects and particles, in-game impact effects, flashlights, fires... and others (Particles Remade, Hollywood FX, Stalker Two-K...).
◾ Improvement of general graphic aspect with post-processing using ReShade, with a profile made by me (Illumination, SSDO, MXAO, levels, colors, FXAA…) and more changes trying to make the game more eye-candy.
◾ Improved lighting, shadows and sun effects (Improved Sun Effects, ltx "lumscale", particles, 4096 shadow map...).
◾ Included the HUD Simple Mask for immersion reinforcement (on-screen helmets, breathing sounds...).
⛑️ MODELS
◾ High quality models for almost all NPCs. Ported from Rayto-X-Ray HD Models Addon for Anomaly mod (not the famous COC one, this is a newer pack). You will hardly find a NPC with the “old” style model.
◾ High quality weapons models and textures from COTZ Weapon Pack (STCOP + OWR).
◾ High quality actor's arms/hands models and textures from The Hand/Arms Project addon (T.H.A.P.).
🔊 SOUNDS
◾ Improved ambient, environment and all kinds of sounds with TRX Sounds Revamp addon. Footsteps, impacts, environmental sounds...
◾ Some other sounds of the same style from Stalker Two-K AmbientSounds and Ambient Metro.
◾ EAX 3D spatial sound feature ported from Dead Air, also with echoes and surrounds under certain conditions (very noticeable in underground maps). Watch this clarifying demonstration.
◾ Weapon sounds comes from the COTZ Weapon Pack (STCOP + OWR).
◾ Ukrainian and russian voices, replacing english recorded ones.
🛠️ OTHERS
◾ New background menu, logo (made by xintothefallx) and music.
◾ Integrated ports of inmersive fast travel and NPC using medkits.
◾ Restored death animations from COC and CS (ported from Anomaly mod).
Read the readme file for more detailed and installation instructions (just uncompress, don't worry!).
CHANGELOG
1.2 (9 jul 2020)
- Far way much more stability! Not needed to mess with configs or worry about crashes: Changed the "noprefecth" option to launch the game with the "no_staging" option, that works much better (explained in FAQ). Added a .bat launcher that works for everybody (no need to make anything, just launch) and re-writed “readme” acording this.
- Enable scope for Groza weapon (in real life it has the possibility).
- Fixed excesive scope zoom for Gauss gun.
- Added death animations from CS and COP (made by AyyKyu for Anomaly, config ported by attackzone974).
- A bit edit of one 2D open scope texture.
1.1 (3 jul 2020)
- Updated "Call of The Zone Weapon Pack" from 1.4 to 1.5.
- Small fixes to user.ltx, i.e. "r_detail_radius" that was causing many crashes with ReShade (lowering from 250 to 230 fixes that for me).
- Added small addon "Animated Detectors", that show an animation at detectors display.
- New whizz and buzz sounds for weapon impacts.
1.0 (28 jun 2020)
- Inital release.

Hi,
is this addon save compatible ?
Yes, I'm thinking about it and I can't find any reason for not be compatible. But you may delete "appdata/shaders_cache" folder.
I really appreciate people who share their mod compilations. Makes life easier for other. You can also include voiced actor v2 (russian) from anomaly mod if u want.I tried it and working fine. Just got to remove 1 file in script the ui companion one(forgot the name) cause it will cause crash. Engine problems i guess. Btw thank you very much for porting the hd models from anomaly! Those models are very great especially the clear sky ones. Sadly, it wont work with A.R.E.A. mod sigh
I included this one: Moddb.com
I haven't listened english voices with it. What is the addon you mention? What improves comparing last one?
EDIT: Ahhh! sorry you meant for actor, not for npcs!! Sorry I didn't understand.
Yup the one that gives dialogues to player
Can you please make a separate upload for the eax port? It’s the only thing i need now i already have most of the mods in the pack.
Yes, I will do. I still didn't tried for Anomaly (I guess it will work), but will upload for sure.
will it cause error if just get the eax files from your pack and install it to mine?
Not only dlls are needed, there are a file for maps (that have this effects) for work. I'm about to upload, a bit busy last days... PS: Doesn't work on Anomaly, will upload to COC addon list only.
okay thanks!
Addon is too unstable.
A lot of crashes at launch despite following your install instructions and
lowering graphic settings.

FATAL ERROR
[error]Expression : <no expression>
[error]Function : xrMemory::mem_usage
[error]File : memory_usage.cpp
[error]Line : 63
[error]Description : fatal error
[error]Arguments : bad node in heap
When entering what map? I tested all maps at maximum quality and I have the 32-bits memory crash on Zaton, Outskirts, Jupiter and Truck Cementery. All of them (except last one) worked with texture_lod 1 (last, with 2).
Crash is way before entering a map.
Crash occurs seconds after lauching the game .exe, before even reaching the game menu.
And no error message.
Try to delete bin/dxgi.dll, for try if it's reshade what are causing the problem.
Also you can try:
- Re-overwrite appdata/user.ltx from zip.
- Delete appdata/user.ltx and run the game again, this will start all configuration from scrath (just place at your liking). If this works, also could try previous step.
Do not forget to run with -noprefetch!!
Tried all that.
Finally, desactivating reshade by deleting dxgi.dll seemed to work, but now i got systematic crash when crossing under the bridge in Cordon...
I also experience it often when launching the game. Maybe because i used a very old potato pc. Just gotta relaunch then works fine.
I can ask, will it be possible to have the HD Models Addon separated in future?
It's published some days ago: Moddb.com (for COC derivated and for COTZ).
The link is in the mod description, I sent the compatibility patch to the author, just download and use :)
I don't know how to install it, every time I get the crash.
I tried every setting possible.
Download the pack I linked.
Then download the compatibility patch: Bit.ly
Follow the instructions, but, mainly, overwrite gamedata files for the version you wanna use.
Unfortunately I get the crash also when I installed your patch.
I mean for Anomaly HD Models by Raito-x-Ray.
what error is in the log file?
When I launch the game every time.
It happens with each setting.
I installed it + your patch separated without other addons.
I meant if you can paste the error that appears at the end of the log file. I tested and works fine, are you sure you're installing correctly? :)
The issue is been fixed after I deleted the Folder named Gameplay from Config's Folder
I find its possible to avoid crashes with reshade by renaming dxgi.dll to the name of the renderer you are using. Example - d3d9 (dx9), d3d10 (dx10), d3d11 (dx11)
Good work on the pack, by the way :)
I will include this in "readme" of next versions, seems being useful for many people.
I didn't suffer many of that (one ocasionally) solved re-starting.
A clean install did wonders.
If you have the horsepower this is a great addon!
Is there a way to use AO3 with this? I think Call of The Zone Weapon Pack 1.4 makes it not show up.
Yeah, I'm thinking about... I used SCTOP pack because I like a bit more models and it's less "game chaging" as weapons are mainly the same types and there aren't too much new ones. AO3 includes a loooot of more weapons and ammos and my basis was to improve but not change what DoctorX made.
For use it, first, you may "delete" all the things of SCTOP+THAP (many files) and the install AO3+THAP (I don't know if there are any other incompatibilities).
So for the moment I'm waiting for more new interesting things and maybe make a 1.1... the only way it's to make an optional installation. I'm thinking on a .bat for delete "default" SCTOP and the unzip the AO3... I will think about this option, anyway...
Ok, that's definitely understandable.
I tried deleting those two and ended up with a mess:)
Thanks again for this addon, it is outstanding.
i really like all the effort that went into this addon pack
it saves me so much trouble
really great job
i just can't seem to avoid the crashing every 10 minutes give or take, even after following all the tips and advice people give
the only solution for me seems to be setting everything to low and that kind of ruins it for me
the best settings i can do is medium on dx9 at best
anything higher than that will give me "the not enough storage is available" error which really gets annoying
With texture_lod 1 (or "75%" in the texture detail option) I have no crashes (except on Truck Cementery). But yeah, that's why I advised in the readme: people that use it may face crashes... no other way to "max" with 32 bits.
I've been trying things and seems that I get too far r__detail_radius. change from 250 to 230 on user.ltx and most the reshade crashes are gone.
It looks great, I will need to try it in my free time)
Woah the download size is larger than the base game 😆😆😆
Thanks for the compilation.
😅 in fact the "scripts/configs" of Stalker are not so heavy (like 40MB)... Textures, models, sounds... that's the size 😁
Hey dude! Good job on the modpack, downloading right now.Is there a possibility that you could add the AmbientMusicPack 2.5 addon in this modpack? Or is it already in it? It contains amazing ambient tracks
Ey, you can use it safely anyways on top of this pack, but TRX Sound Revamp it's included and it bundles 37 nice ambient songs (from Metro, Autumn Aurora...) very nicely used. I think it's very nice also. In fact, both addons share many songs...
Oh ok,that's great! I like the AmbientMusicPack more,it contains ambient tracks from older builds of Stalker and they are masterpieces
Yeah...I made a mistake.It doesn't work.It crashes the game
Delete "gamedata" folder and uncompress again only these folder from the zip. I didn't checked deeply if AmbientMusicPack has incompatibilities, I think no... but see the log to watch where is crashsing.
Thanks for the asnwer! Also, sorry for the late response
I checked the crash log and I got this:

I like the concept.
Doctor X gameplay hopped up with Anomoly graphics.
But I wonder if you really need the 64bit engine to handle all that.
Anomaly and modern "forked" engines" have better graphics results that COC... OGSE, OpenXRay... for example grass rendering, better AO or moving inertia.
With 32-bits it's a bit "pain" yes, you will have crashes here and there and you may re-load game... that's the price. I tried some COC -or derivates- 64 bits "alphas" that are around but not working.
So what I'm doing it's playing at max when I can, and down a bit in maps I can't. A bit pain... but I think better graphics, sound... worths STALKER inmersion!
How can I turn down the grass density a little bit? There's no option for that
Yes, as I mention in a previous comment, it's causing problems with ReShade (specially radius option, don't know why).
I'm about to update the pack with a few things and this one.
The options you meant: r__detail_density
But lower "r__detail_radius" it's mandatory for avoid crashes.
I've been making more testing and I discovered that many crashes caused by ReShade (during play, not at changing maps - d3d10 cpp memory and things similar) are caused with grass distance vision.
I think I got too far in this value (maxed, 250) and don't know why but it's causing problems with ReShade. Changing it to 230 for example makes much more stable and less crashing. The command in console:
r__detail_radius 230
I'm about to upload a new version with this line on user.ltx fixed and some more things (I hope) but for the moment, change this in console or in user.ltx :)
Done and uploaded 1.1!
You can play totally stable in 1.2 version! Forget crashes or lowering texture quality settings. With "no_staging" launch command option I tested all maps without problems. I included a .bat file for launch the game with this option easely! Tested on all maps and no crashes.
