Sounds promising! I'll try it.

Here are a few conflicting mods I'm using, and I was able to easily patch them (partly) to work together. If I find more, I'll expand this post.

- Magazines Extended. It comes with its own set of icons. Other than that there are no conflicting file. (I never edited texture files, so I just leave them, as it's only the mag Ext. icons that will be different. -- SEE BELOW

- Boomsticks & Sharpsticks: The file "parts.ltx" contains some records that are required by B&S to work properly. It's easy to merge it.

EDIT: Could you use the latest B&S icons file as a base by chance?

As a general rule, whenever you modify the image, try to put the new icons, in a part where it does not interfere with the old icons and place the new coordinates in the data that you have modified.

Simply amazing, had to restart my game, but it's worth it. Just getting used to it for a while, and some incompatibilities with icons, but nothing that would ruin the game. Awesome work Stalker, stay safe.

Something with your icons is different. It has a size of 128mb while they usually have 33mb. Must be something about formatting.
incubusraziel knows more about that.

I know, but i don't know why ... I am using GIMP to edit the .dds files. Maybe there are some settings to bring it down. But for the game itself it shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, it works fine.

The bandage icon is missing or has wrong coordinates (Boomsticks version). And Splint icon looks like antirads pills.

Can't confirm, config file got the right coordinates. All Versions are using the same position in the .dds file and the same coordinates in the config.
In my testing it runs just fine.

Btw, it would be nice to have some more info in the item's descriptions, like what item heals torso, legs, arms, etc. And if it still uses the pre- and post-healing feature from BHS, these could be pointed out as well.

It's all in the item description. Hover your mouse over the icon and you get the info.
Bandage, Vinca, Zagustin - bleeding
IFAK, Car, Salewa, Propital - body recovery (HP)
CMS - Permanent heals body/head
Surv12 - Permanent heals limbs
Splints - heal legs permanent but just a tiny bit
Painkillers, Ibuprofen, Adrenalin, Morphin - Heal everything (BHS) but just temporarly

That's weird! In my descriptions it just shows the text for items, like that IFAK has been developed by the marines or sth like that. But besides some effects it doesn't show me what item heals legs. I guess I did some mistake with merging files. I'll check them again.

Edit: Hmm, the version I have installed is 1.1.7. Seems you update the mod again.

EDIT: Ok, I updated the files from your new update, and now it's working with the proper description :) Thank you!

But you still forgot the BaS part in parts.ltx. See my post below. Also the bandage icon is still invisible in my game, and I tripple-checked that I got no wrong files or conflicts, and to be totally sure I tried it with only your mod installed. I'm using your B&S icons file and your items_medical and items_drugs with your coordinates. Also I compared your files from the other versions (vanilla, etc) and the coordinates are the same. It must be on your end.
For the time being I changed the coordinates back to the vanilla icons. Thx for your great work here!

I used the original parts.ltx from the actual Boomsticks mod and replaced the med items. I didn't changed anything else. So it is impossible that i have forgotten anything. If your problem stays till tomorrow, come in my stream. twitch.tv/derchrom
Maybe we find a solution.

No problems.. But I checked again your parts.ltx from your mod's boomsticks archive, and then the parts.ltx from current B&S mod (latest version). Again, in line 195 your file is missing the lines I've posted in my other comment (below) :)
Maybe you took the wrong file by accident.

And is it intended that Splint icon is the same like old rads drug? Also the caffeine tablets have no icon... As for the bandage icon I also reverted the caffeine tablets coordinates back to vanilla. So it's fine for me. But needs a fix in your file.

And no, there's no other file causing it, it's from your files and icons ;)

Came home, double checked it: I edited the right parts.ltx, but put the wrong one in the folder, oopsi.
Uploading right now, so download the v1.2 again pls.
(Long, hot working days, beer and modding till 3am in the morning don't go well together XD )

I'm sorry, but I found another problem xD

THing is. since you have removed some medical items, the game can potentially throw errors (and crash) due to those items are now missing. For example, I'm using trader overhaul, and also in other mods and configs sometimes it tries to access such items. The result is a crash with a very vague error message:

[error]Description : fatal error
[error]Arguments : Can't open section 'medkit_ai3'. Please attach [*.ini_log] file to your bug report


After some research I figured out that other file tried to spawn the item "medkit_ai3", which was before (I think) the scientific medikit. In your items_medical.ltx this item is not defined anymore (it was the very last one at the botton) and that leads to errors and crashes when some other mod - or even the vanilla game - tries to access it.

I think as a solution you should not remove items entirely, but change them to something else, because you never know what script, mod or vanilla function wants to access them.

For a temporary fix I re-added the removed items and changed them a bit according to the things you did. But I didn't check the changes you did in scripts. But it should at least work for now without crashes.

First I wasn't really sure, if these items are actually from another mod that I've installed a long time ago! :D
The "original" items_medical I have, includes medikit_ai3.
But Trader Overhaul adds this item quite often to several traders inventories.

I hope this helps a bit :)

And then there's still the bandages icon.. :P

Exactly, just use the vanilla folder.
It's just the same graphic file for the icons if you use Anomaly Magazines (and Extended Mags). Thats why they are in the same folder.

thanks i installed these folder and works fine, but i found a little issue, the icon of the military novice outfit" is missing

and is there any way to know how really works the meds? i feel the ifak and salewa are the same item but the salewa only have more time to give heal like 30 more seconds, perhaps that can changed by adding give more healing than only more time of healing?
and in the text doesn't say what body part heal, at least in my version that i 'm using

but this addon is very good btw

If you hover your mouse over one of the medical items, while injured, look at the body widget. It will show then what effects the item has. For example it will mark the damaged part of arms in red, which means it will stop bleeding at arms. Or it marks some other body part with darker color, which means it will fix broken bones. And in the item's descriptions it will describe if it heals body, arms or legs, or stop bleeding, too.

This mod is absolutely great! It removes/changes several medical items and drugs and makes them actually make more sense. YOu will have less different items, but with much more specific usage. There are items to heal different body parts, whether temporary and quick during a fight, or final healing for i.e. broken bones, etc.
While Body Health System is a great mod, this one here makes it nearly perfect and easier to use, while being more realistic! ;)

@TomLink: Btw, you will have to start a new game anyways, so better wait for a new playthrough.

Love this mod! however i noticed that both the splints affect the leg health, and the only item that affects arms restoration is the survival kit. is there a way for me to edit this myself so one of the splints adds arm health? I'm having trouble keeping my character healthy arm wise, all i can do is stack temp bonuses. Thanks for the awesome mod! definetely made Body health systems more streamlined!

Salewa is described as containing several types of bandages, but doesn't patch up like them. They should at least stop bleeding I think. And because they can be found pretty often, it would be good to have an alternate method to stop bleeding.

These animations are a LOT of work, especially on Anomaly, and are way beyond the scope of this addon (I'd suppose). For example Gunslinger uses an injector, which is more like a "dirty hack" to add their stuff. It doesn't work like that for Anomaly due to the engine differences (Already tried, and ended up with a very messed up stack of animations..). When it comes to Gunslinger like features, it would be much "easier" to write new code from scratch, but maybe kinda profit from Gunslinger dev's (and maybe Smurt's) experiences with that stuff.
Another possible way could be to partly port functions from Smurt's dyn hud, but it would again require a lot of rework because Anomaly's engine is a thing on its own. If there's not a (bunch of) very skilled and exprienced modder(s) willing to start something like this, you can only hope for Anomaly devs adding it to the game themselves.

As for porting real EFT items there's the problem, that the game (dictated by the engine) doesn't make a difference between seperate body parts, like legs and arms, head and torso. It can only seperate head and body (armors). The Body Health System mod immitates bodyparts by choosing randomly a bodypart that gets hit. So it can define seperate body parts for healing, but it doesn't have any control about where exactly you are getting injured by actual bullets.

@SomeDumbBitch: I'd love Gunslinger for Anoamyl too! Well, maybe I can suggest you an alternate game:

Moddb.com (This one has such animation I think, and is also a standalone conversion of CoC, still being developed and looks very interesting.

Moddb.com (The same goes for this one. It's different, but interesting. In gameplay videos I saw great item animations too. But it seems especially to get the most out of the Open X-Ray64 engine, adding new gfx effects and such.)

I'm mentioning these, because they both have working item animations and dynamic hud working on a 64bit X-Ray engine port. Maybe they could server as a "experience provider" on how to get things to work in Anomaly too.

not what i meant, i was asking about the ig icons from EFT, not bringing back the vanilla medical items, here Escapefromtarkov.gamepedia.com you can see that the mod icons are different from the ig tarkov icons. and don't get me wrong, you don't have to do so, i'm just asking. in any case, if you can't do it i'll try to learn how to mod and edit them myself. it's not that big of a difference, but it's there. thanks anyway, this mod is awesome in and on itself as it is, eager to see the v2.0 you mentioned earlier

Exactly, the mod is using the ingame items from tarkov. If they don't show up, then there was something wrong with your installation of the mod. Just install it again or wait for the upcomming v2.0
