When creating a new game, alternates betwen 10 loadout presets and chooses from a list of firearms, both your main and sidearm (all worn/rusted, of course), instead of having a fixed loadout for each faction. You'll spawn with 4 boxes of ammo for your main weapon and 2 for your handgun.
Also replaces the starting knife for some factions (Clear Sky has an axe).
Includes an optional file to add the artifact handling tool, Geiger counter and binoculars to the default inventory.
Installation:
Move the contents under Base to your Last Day directory, and do the same for the optional. Or just use JGSME.
Forgot to mention: you may or may not need to install the TRX fixes addon first, as I'm using his ui_mm_faction_select.script file.
Can you maybe add an option to also start with 2 antirads, 2 medkits and 5000 rubles?
I find it tiresome to only start with 2 bandages in the middle of the zone, makes no sense and some exposure to light radiation is a death sentence
You're supposed to use cigarettes/water/alcohol to get rid of radiation at the beginning, and you can edit factions_loadouts.ltx
to start with more cash: just set "money" to = 5000
i have change the money amount with notepad but than the game doesn´t work :/
Try using another editor like notepad++
Is there any way this could be converted to Call of Misery? I've been looking at the files and trying to edit lines and what not but I seem to get crashes during the faction select screen. I press randomize a few times and usually it works but sometimes there is a conflict and it crashes.
Any ideas?
Late reply, not sure if you got it working or not already, but if you got the script working fine, then look into the faction_loadouts.ltx and remove any LD original items, such as the new drugs. That's most likely what's causing the crashes. I also think some weapons have been renamed, like the wpn_mosin_worn in LD is wpn_mosin_old in CoM, so you may want to look into that too.
This mod breaks the game for me. It adds the Geiger counter and binoculars. but no matter what faction i start as, i never start with a gun or ammo.

You must have installed the translation on top of it, make sure your ui_mm_faction_select.script file is the same one from this addon or it won't work.
you mean you must install this mod AFTER the English translation pack?

It didn't before the second patch came out. But now that I look at it, they added this same mod with a few tweaks in the patch but just didn't put me in the credits I guess lol.
Anyways, I'll archive this file since it's already in the main game.
