Alternate High Contrast 2D Scopes for DX8 players to make it easier to aim with scopes.
Made for 1.5.2 (I don't know if it works with 1.5.1, probably?)

FAQ:
1. There are several good scope mods out there already, why make this?
> Default 2D scopes for Anomaly have a weird red noise over the textures when playing with DX 8 render, and also makes the center point hard to see. This replaces the textures with high contrast alternatives, to make it less horrible to aim and for the crosshair to be more prominent.
Obviously, don't use this with other renders as it might produce unintended effects. If you're stuck on playing with the DX8 render because you're playing on a potato and want to actually see where you're aiming at, then this is for you. Whether you're broke and can't afford a modern GPU, or playing Anomaly on your company laptop, this is for you. I don't judge.
2. These scopes aren't very realistic.
> What is this, Sniper Elite? You know what's not realistic? Your scope being crystal clear all the time without needing to zero it, the absence of a height-over-bore mechanic, and STILL not being able to tell where the crosshair actually is at.
I'm sure you can do a better job, I'd rather play the game than make mods out of necessity.
nice addon thank you
Thank you for downloading and the nice comment
very very nice thank you brother
Thank you as well bro
does this thing fix 2 annoying white lines from left and right side?
idk about that, I haven't experienced that in my regular playthroughs. Is that related to the texture quality option?
Nah, I have max quality for them, and i see them.. maybe i need to change smoothing option and enable vsync (yet it eats too much fps)?
My guess it's related to the weapon settings themselves. Try reinstalling the game. I remember I have the white bar issues back in the day then reinstalling fixed it

Light colored borders;
It may be the below textures do not match the scope background color.
</auto_static>
<auto_static x="0" y="0" width="128" height="768" stretch="1">
<texture>wpn_crosshair_add_l</texture>
</auto_static>
<auto_static x="896" y="0" width="128" height="768" stretch="1">
<texture>wpn_crosshair_add_r</texture>
</auto_static>
I had to make custom colored >wpn_crosshair_add_r"whatever" to add many different scopes to my game.
Odd stripes at the top of both left and right borders are, the the side adds are a different texture/size than the actual scope texture.
Or saved in a different setting like both not DXT5. I AA'd some scopes and the the sides looked like that in game.
Hope this helps.
