The classic ripper chaingun from Duke Nukem 3D ported and brutalized for Brutal Doom v21! Slot 2, sometimes replaces the minigun.
I realize there's an addon like this already, but it's probably outdated now and wasn't centered. It's just a simple weapon addon I've made in, what, an hour or two?
Doesn't spawn on its own! You need to summon it by typing "summon DukeNukemRipper" in the console.
It also includes an alternative sound effect from Duke Nukem Forever.
To load it just place it after Brutal Doom v21 in your load order.
And before you ask... no... it doesn't work with Project Brutality...

- The ripper can now spawn! Has a 1/4th chance to replace the minigun on the floor.

Ever wondered of making a Duke Nukem 3D weapon pack for BD?
Maybe except the shrinker and expander, because they are too tricky to work with BD.
That's definitely an interesting idea, but
a) I'm lazy
b) I'm not really an artist and I don't think there's every centered DN3D weapon, sooo...
It's pretty cool nonetheless, just wondering at which point i should summon this gun lel, would be a nice upgrade to normal chaingun.
I wanted to make it spawn randomly, but that'd have to replace the chaingun and it'd be uncompatible with my rotating double cannon which people for some reason seem to enjoy...
Too bad, still, the gun looks pretty cool.
If i had the spriting skills, i would try to center Duke3D's shotgun, maybe make it compatible with slug rounds from another weapon mod (forgot the name), probably the second most bad *** gun from Duke3D.

The closest thing one could get for a "brutalized" Duke3D experience IMO would be to put Dn3DooM and Brutal Monsters Only together; but yeah, Shrinker and Expander still doesn't work against BDMO. Which is a kind of a shame, since Brutal Monsters have a custom Freeze Death system in place despite BDv21 itself doesn't employ freezing weaponry. On the other hand, PB's Shrink Death system on its monsters is a mixed bag for me; for one thing I like that the monsters get permanently shrunk, however they don't drop anything upon getting shrunk or squished.

It doesn't work with PB because it's constantly being updated and stuff changes there, so my addons would most likely become outdated very quickly.
Yeah but I love the PB monsters and guns. Make the game more crazy and violent. I wish I knew how to adapt your stuff.

There is another mod like this, but it doesn't work with BD21, or any version that I've tried actually, so good job with this. Your rotating double barrel is popular because it's very useful against the large enemies with high HP
I know there is. It (and Duke Nukem Forever) actually inspired me to make my own, "brutalized" version. Also that rotating double barrel is... supposed to be a joke. You people really can't take a joke...
This is a really cool addon, but I found a really broken bug. When I tried to kick, taunt, or throw a grenade along with this weapon, I get completely unarmed, and I can't select any weapon anymore. I used Tomtefar's Extension. Does this only work on vanilla Brutal Doom?
It works fine for me, so it's Tomtefar's Extention's fault. Don't use this weapon with Tomtefar's submod.
Nevermind, I fixed it by simply leaving BrutalWeapon as BrutalWeapon. If I change it
to BaseWeapon, taunting, kicking, and throwing grenades leave me armless. Thanks anyway though. This is a great BD addon, and it works well on a Duke Nukem level.

Because I was hoping that the weapon would work with BaseWeapon like the other Tomtefar's Extension weapons, but since changing to BaseWeapon does not work, I decided to change it back to BrutalWeapon. The Ripper works just fine for me now.

I didn't make it spawn because my other weapon (the rotating double barrel shotgun) also replaces the minigun, so they wouldn't really be compatible with each other.
