You can become the cowboy now! Here's a revolver for you that's capable of popping heads right open! Sometimes replaces the shotgun spawn, slot 2.
Here's probaby the best revolver for Brutal Doom you'll have the opportunity to use! It's pretty much a pocket sniper rifle capable of popping those zombie heads right open.
The primary fire just fires a shot with a long trigger pull.
The alt fire, obviously, allows you to fire it faster at the cost of accuracy.
During reloads, each revolver bullet consumes 4 pistol bullets, so a full single reload would cost you 24 bullets.
Once you obtain a second revolver, you can dual wield it!
It sometimes replaces a spawned shotgun on the ground.
If you're impatient, you can summon it by typing "Summon Revolver". If you want dual revolvers, just summon it again.
Unzip the downloaded .zip file, and put the .pk3 file after brutal Doom in your load order.
This addon replaces Brutal Doom's revolver, I have no idea how well will that work but it should cause no issues with vanilla and my personalized addon.
If you want to use it in your mod or other things like that, ask me for permission first. I will not tolerate using my work without notifying me or me knowing.

You can fire it way faster now and by tapping mouse 1 the revolvers will still be very accurate. If you choose to hold the fire button their accuracy will be reduced.

After a long wait, the option to dual wield them is finally here!
The recoil might seem tricky at first, as it's quite strong and wobbly. If you practice it you'll be able to fire accurate shots, as those weapons seem to stay rather accurate even when dual wield!

It's possible to make an ads-able Revolver. I never understand why the sidearms in theses mods are never ads capable. anyway, thank you.

In my mod the revolver is designed like a much stronger but slower and less accurate pistol ment for close combat or to be used to quickly deal huge damage with altfire when you find yourself in the face of a hell noble. Kind of like what the SSG is compared to the normal shotgun.
Thus ADS would not make any sense in my case :)
Wow, you have explained in a way that i would never through. You are right the revolver is the SSG of the Pistol.
Also while i was writing this i had an idea so i post here anyway.
If we make a addon that limits the amount of weapons you can carry but only in the tactical mode so you will only carry 1 weapons of each class (2 with backpack) or Limited to only 5 weapons in total (because is 2 on each side of your hip, 2 on your back and 1 in your hands).
You can drop and pickup new weapons. Enemies have weak weapons and secrets have strong ones.
Well that's just an merely idea.
I love this dude, You did a good job, could you add a double revolver option , or add the magnum ammo separately.
I thought about that but I eventually dropped the idea to keep the addon simple.

Ah. Was already modding something to make it spawn with sergents. Should be added to description I think.
Gun is very nice, but I don't really like that the gun covers the area where you shoot/crosshair is placed (while the gun moves up for recoil) Maybe I just have to get used to it tho.
Please don't report bugs if you've modified the file. Then that's on you if something goes wrong.

I did not report a bug. I just said I added a spawner as the description didn't imply there is something like that implemented. Most of the times mods like this require to summon the gun.

I think you should make it more rarer than that , i mean like 1/8 chance.

I've been looking for a revolver mod for BD for a while and most I find aren't very good.
Not to mention that BD 21's Shotvolver can't be claimed through normal means.

There is a bug when you summon the revolver from bdv21 and then theres a glitch with both revolvers.
Brutal Doom's revolver cannot be obtained by normal means so I'm not gonna bother. What's wrong with my revolver though?
I think he's trying to say that he spawned the Bd21 revolver and tried spawning your revolver but that caused issues to both weapons, because they occupies the same slot. Although this is a Glich not a Bug, and there's nothing wrong with your revolver.

If you try to throw a grenade with the revolver equipped, the gun changes to the default pistol for a few frames before you actually throw.
I'm guessing you copied over the grenade throwing code from the pistol but forgot to change which sprites are meant to be displayed during it.

Not really, the revolver is supposed to be your pocket sniper rifle for incredible accuracy.

I don't think I can help you with that one my guy, sorry.
Might be something with the hud having hardcoded weapons which it should display ammo for. That's something I probably won't be able to do.

It addons have an serious bug. The bug is revolver reload is reduce 24.
That was intentional. It uses four times the ammo, deagle uses three times the ammo.
