Hello. I would like to offer you config that enables EAX sound.
Activates 3D sound. You will notice immediately on startup. Also it rises volume little bit.
Installation:
You have to have Creative Alchemy. Maybe you dont have that app, so download it, its free.
Start that program, click on Add, name it Crysis. Click on "use game path" Navigate to where you have installed game and choose Bin32 or Bin64. Dont choose "install into sub folder". Now you should see two files (dsound.dll and dsound) in Bin32 or Bin64. Now just copy this mod into root folder. Example: (C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis). If you are already using autoexec, just edit it and copy text from my mod on the end of config. Thats it. Sorry it looks complicated.
Tested on Windows 10 Home 64bit and Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro.
Havent tried other sound cards brands.
