A texture pack of realistic scopes for modders to use in their mods and for gamers to use in their games.
Clear Glass Scope Texture Pack is a compilation of scope textures I've made completely from scratch. I was tired of looking through scopes that were covered in dirt, scratches and other distractions, so I decided to make my own scope textures that were clean and simple. The designs are based on real-life scopes.
The scopes are designed for 16:9 and 16:10 resolutions, because of this they will look slightly "squashed" in 4:3 resolutions. They should be compatible with just about every single mod out there, but I have only used them alongside Original Weapon Renewal 3 (v6) and have provided a quick installation option for it. For everything else, you will have to manually replace your scope textures with these ones, but this is extremely easy to do. Currently the pack features 16 unique scopes, 11 of which have illuminated versions. I have plans to add many more in the future.
If you have questions, feedback or requests, let me know in the comments.
Features
Realistic scopes with no distractions such as dirt or scratches.
Crisp reticles for precise aiming.
Illuminated designs that function day and night, perfect for low light conditions.
Functional rangefinders for measuring distance to your target.
(Figure in the picture is approximately 100 in-game units away).
Multiple choices of color for illuminated designs.

CWP ? what mod is that ? i wish for all of them and Radium mod too
Ooh, I like this idea. :)
I've often thought that having all the scopes be filthy and scratched up was kind of overdone. Does no one in the Zone own a handkerchief, or maybe a box of tissues? :P
the functional range-finger is very cool.
Great idea and mod thanks, but I couldnt make it work.
Perhaps I misunderstood the instructions. Could you please clarify.
Can I use the gamedata folder included if I'm running vanilla 1.5?
Or, do I have to input some txt line manually into each weapon script?
If you are replacing a vanilla scope, here's how (using the G36 for example):
1) Find your CoC install's "gamedata" folder, then open the "textures" folder inside it.
2a) You may need to create a folder named "wpn" inside the "textures" folder if you don't already have one.
3a) Open the new "wpn" folder and copy the "wpn_crosshair_g36.dds" from this mod's "without illumination" folder (for example) into it.
OR:
2b) If you DO have a "wpn" folder, open it and find the file named "wpn_crosshair_g36.dds" and rename it to "wpn_crosshair_g36.bak" *then* copy the "wpn_crosshair_g36.dds" file as in (3a) above.
4) Close the folder, start up CoC and (assuming you *have* a G36, lol :D), equip it and check out your new clean scope!
You can do the same as above using the illuminated scope textures if you prefer; just grab the "wpn_crosshair_g36_COLOR.dds" from the folder you want and rename it to "wpn_crosshair_g36.dds" before you copy it over.
Thank you. That's much clearer to understand.

Very nice. I always keep my scope glass pristine IRL even in the worst conditions. The dirt and scratches on STALKER scopes were actually an immersion breaker for me.
Small request if you should feel so inclined. Could you do a version of the zf3 scope without the range finder? I would love to have a simple mil-dot only reticle. Illuminated version of the same would be great too.
Nice work!
Currently I'm working on making the mod more friendly to Vanilla, AO and STCoP players so that there is no lack of information in the installation process regardless of what weapon mod you use. After that I plan on adding more traditional scopes that you would see in hunting rifles for example, which should cover your request.
Good mod. What i want to ask is if there is possible to have acog version but open one, because is a bit annoying when is closed and you cant see the outside, and not only acog other scopes too could be nice.
Hi, with this mod, all of my scopes show in the upper left screen corner.
I am also using
Dodge These Gnomus Scopes and
OWR,
both latest versions for CoC 1.4.22.
My screen is 10:16.
Looks nice and works well. (1.5R6 and OWR) Thanks!
I might look into using these honestly, seeing as Gnomus scopes for a few guns have been horrible.
Dose this works for Last day?
Hi autor :D
I have a little problem with this mod, crashlog down
Expression: Fatal error
Function: CScriptEngine:lua_error
File: ..\xrServerEntities\script_engine.ccp
Line: 193
Description: <no expression>
Arguments: LUA error: .... call of pripyat\gamedata\scripts\bind_stalker.script:22: attemp to index global 'bind_stalker_etx' (a nil value)
stark trace
0023:00B8717F xrCore.dll xrDebug::fatal()
0023:0780F5F5 xrGame.dll, CDialogHolder::UseIndicators()
I do not known the cause, i just modified the .dds files and the scope and scope_16 files, for modify the res values, from 768 to 1024.
Thanks for any help, and good work with the sights, looks very fantastic :D.
Pd: i'm using COP, with OWR 3w
Well, in the absence of an answer from you about it, I will update the subject. I await a response from you.
By removing the file bind_stalker.script, I was able to access the game, but the sights are not aligned where they should be. Instead of being in the center, they are located in the upper left corner.
I tried to modify the resolution values of the .dds file in the scopes.html file, if any. I also modified the resolution of the game itself, without success also in this part, I do not know what could be the cause of the problem.
I would like to play stalker with your mod, but with this problem it is uncomfortable to play it, because the position of the sight on the screen covers the crosshairs.
Thanks for reading this, and if you know how to fix this, or if someone knows how to correct this error, I would love to read your answer.
Great day :D
Hey I've also got this problem, did you find a fix?
Very nice. Thanks!
I've downloaded this mod from several sites (including this one). All were 7z files and all extracted corrupted. Could you change the file to a rar file please?
Thanks! Lovely mod.
how do i make it work using arsenal overhaul ?
