Replaces world textures with classic Call of Pripyat / Call of Chernobyl textures. (Potato friendly)
Save some ram and feel nostalgic with this classic texture pack. Items, NPCs and weapons are not affected. Tested with 1.5.2 and working.
After installing don't forget to edit your user.ltx inside appdata folder and change "r2_parallax_h 0" to "r2_parallax_h 0.02" or else your textures will look flat!
All textures used are potato friendly and should decrease memory usage. I also edited the new 1.5.1 ground textures for better performance and looks, this improved the weird repeating patterns on the ground and made the colors fit together. With v0.4 all world textures are finally restored.

Classic Terrain, Grass and Foliage addons are fully independent and come in db format. You can use them alone or mix them with vanilla textures if you wish, have fun!

Finnaly, I love vanila tectures is it possible to also return the original stalker npc models from CS/CoP and SoC?
What about returning blood textures from original games? Including bleeding trails too.
I can't thank you enough for sharing this. The atmosphere that the original textures gives to the game can't be compared, call me an old dog or whatever but the original contrast of colors, the original resolution brings this STALKER soul back into the game, and feels fantastic.
I don't care about HD textures anymore, I learned that it doesn't really matter how good a texture looks at 4K resolution if it doesn't blends well with the world or feels completely flat. The old textures are so well made to fit into the game atmosphere that even using lower resolution textures, it looks better, it also has a fantastic blend of colors.
To make everything even better, it improves the load times, less GPU memory demand, perfectly fine for the other stalkers out there playing with low specs computers.
Thank you so much for this, brings the original soul back into the game.
anyone experiencing occasional massive FPS drop when looking at certain direction? and occurs during combat 50% of the times? running about 40-50 FPS then instantly go down to -5 FPS. i can deal with stuttering and freezes but when this happens i have to quick load to fix it. though i am not really sure if this addon is the cause.
Classic grass is a fps killer
How is that? The resolution is lower.
don't know why but i did a couple tests on garbage and i got smoother feel of game with anomaly grass, maybe smth with framerate not fps. Every other mod from you was on: terrain,textures,foliage. Maybe there problems on my side

Nice addon. I like old textures much more than anomaly's vanilla's. For me they looking more realistically.
texture only changes also my terrain texture. Im on dx11. Its noticeable in cordon.

dunno whats up, but having this installed makes my monitor flicker when i look at certain spots ;-;
this happens to me too
the monitor flickering at certain spots happens to me as well. Especially so in fog.
Currently using this texture pack to play Anomaly on my Thinkpad T480s. It helps alot, like super alot, I can finally play this game on FHD with medium setting while using A-Life Overhaul and bunch of other heavy mods without overheating or stuttering!

I would love to see an AI upscaled remaster of this, whatever texture pack i use i always fall back to this one, it fits just perfectly.

This isn't classic textures though...at least not on the CoP maps...in the original there was alot more green and tan especially in Zaton and Jupiter. Any way to get those?
