This Mod will enhance the graphics of both Battlefront I and II (Classic) by adding a custom Bloom and AA and some nice filter effects, which makes the game look more sharp, realistic and movie-like!
Depending on the color mood of the map/scene the mod's impact will be more visible in some cases than in others. - - - JUST ENLARGE THE PREVIEW IMAGE TO SEE THE DIFFERENCE
This mod aims to replaces the stock Bloom and AA with better ones,
while also improving the coloring and contrasting.
Depending on the color mood of the map/scene the mod's impact will be more visible on some maps/scene than on others. I recommend to enlarge the preview image (I uploaded it in 4K) to see the difference on each of the 4 maps clearly.
IT WILL WORK FOR BOTH BATTLEFRONT I and II (Classic)
MY RECOMMENDATION:
Use my graphic enhancement mod combined with Battlefront Legacy mod for Battlefront (I)
or with the Battlefront: Evolved side mod for Battlefront II for the best possible Graphics ;)
These are the improvements in detail:
- The Bloom is more subtile but also more defined than the stock one.
- The AA is combined with a soft sharpening effect, which results in a better image, which is both anti-aliased and slightly sharpened (while the stock AA is blurring the image to much, which results in an overall washed-out look like it's the problem with modern FXAA today) - so it's a nice balance between anti-aliased and sharpened ... and at the same time it's better performing than the ingame AA :D
- The dynamic cinematic filters apply some changes to coloring, contrasting, saturation and brightness to imitate a more "movie-like" and realistic look
- Because the cinematic filters darkened the image too much on less bright maps, I also added a subtile gamma gaining, to counter the darkening.

Installation for both Battlefront I and II:
- Move the content of the folder next to this file (the one which says "Hey you ...") into your GameData folder.
- Turn ingame bloom and anti aliasing OFF.
Ingame trigger key [F11] is a little buggy, you often have to press it several times :D

How do you turn off anti-aliasing off for the graphics?
You have to turn off the stock AA in the ingame settings menu of Battlefront ;)
Ah, already did that, but was under the impression that the graphics came with full AA on.

If you want to turn the Reshade-AA off, you have to open up the file called "MasterEffects.h" with a text editorbwhere you have to find the entry

under the headline
ENABLE EFFECTS and its category called
//IMAGE ENHANCEMENTS
There you have to turn the '1' into a 0' and "save your changes" befor quitting the editor. Now the AA should be gone ... but I don't recommend turning it off :D
But I don't understand why you want to turn it off, because it's both better performing and better looking (especially combined with the sharpening) than the ingame AA ;)
My games run slow whenever it's on for some reason.

And I recommend you to try out both, because "looking better" is a depending of personal preference :D
My mod looks more cinematic/realistic and the 2016 mod will make the game more colorful and 'bloomy' ...

Like I wrote: It depends on the mood of the map how strong the difference is.
It's nearly the same look on eg. Dagobah but it's quite noticeable on eg. Tatooine ;)

so i wanna make this game look absolutely gorgeous. what are the exact things i need to install in order to make that happen? i have issues with v1.3 patch and my launcher is apparently the 1.1 one. how do i update the launcher to the newest one? what is the newest one? please help.
You can ignore the Launcher and instead launch the game directly by running 'BattlefrontII.exe', which is located in the 'GameData' folder :)

You should read the description -> I already linked the side mod (Battlefront: Evolved) I use as replacement of the stock sides ;)

When do you have this issue? While playing or on loading/menu screens?
Is the ingame Bloom disabled in the game settings?
If you have this error while playing with ingame Bloom disabled, then you can try this:
What happens, if you turn the MasterEffect Bloom off?
To do that open the MasterEffect.h file (located in your GameData folder) with an text file editor like notepad++
-> search beneath the second headline "ENABLE EFFECTS" for:
//Lightning
# ...
# ...
#define USE_BLOOM 1
-> just replace the '1' with '0' like this:
#define USE_BLOOM 0
-> save and exit.
Do you have still the purple Bloom, when playing after doing this?
If that doesn't resolve your issue, than please check if:
... the Unofficial Patch 1.3 is installed.
... you have the latest graphics driver installed.

I've got a problem cause when i move the content to gamedata folder the game doesn't run anymore. When I take it back to desktop the game starts to run again. Plz help:(
What do you mean by 'doesn't run anymore'?
Does the game crash on startup or loading screen or doesn't it run at all?
It crashes on startup and btw i have windows xp
Please look inside your GameData folder and pn me the content (or paste it into this comment section, if you don't have a ModDB account) of the 'd3d9.log' file.

Personally, this one is a lot better looking than HarrisonFog's 2017 HD mod. Great work, nice to see someone actually do something different with ReShade for a change xD
