I've noticed that a lot of the weights of equipment in the Anomaly mod were greatly exaggerated. I've taken the liberty of reducing the weight of so far every outfit and helmet you can wear in the game. While I do also plan on adjusting the ballistic capabilities of some of the body armor in the game, I would love any sort of constructive criticism that you could throw at me. I am a complete amateur when it comes to these endeavors, and anything helps. Just some liberties I have taken so far: The "quality" of certain sets of armor have been adjusted accordingly. A bandit's fenced LC suit is going to be noticeably lower in quality when compared to a more standard Mercenary LC suit. Why? Because in the description of a bandit LC suit, it mentions that the bandits were ripped off, and the original manufacturer of said suits used poorer quality materials. You'll notice that with this mod, little details like that litter each suit, and that makes each outfit that much more situational.
I think for the 0.3 update, I'll be adjusting the weights of the weapons in the game. Why does a FORT 500 weigh considerably more than a Baikal MP-133?
Please, make the newest update as a separate add-on, because many people uses weapons packs like BaS and that would make this mod incompatible with many others.
I've decided to NOT update the weights of firearms in the games. I went through the ltx files and determined that the only firearm that wasn't weighed properly WAS the Fort 500, and it's because details of it are a little hard to find. I think I'm going to start editing the ballistic properties of some of the body armor, maybe.
Good idea! Maybe you can take in account the work of Grok Moddb.com because he did great things on output weapons damage, reworking of ammo penetration etcetera, so your mod would be perfect, because it will touch armors.
By the way, just before anyone asks: No, you don't need to restart to use this.
is there a complete list of all items change? Thanks for this chuvak
Right now? Everything in your directory under gamedata/configs/items/outfits except upgrades. I'll edit the upgrades if I absolutely have to, but I have my doubts about it.
You can edit upgrades so whey will not add even more weight
Any known mod conflicts or merges needed ?
And nice idea for a mod by the way i was always slightly puzzled by some of the default weights in game.
Exosuits and Extrasuits (for exoseva) overwrites 2 files)
EzPz, we just need to merge them with WinMerge
So far? No conflicts that I would know of. And if I understand your question, instead of merging I recommend using JSGME or similar.
Nice idea, 10/10 but it would be great if you make it compatible with exoseva Moddb.com and extrasuit Moddb.com
I'll look into it. That might be as simple as editing some ltx files and creating a folder for it. I'll add that to my list, I'm going to be editing weapon weights today.
Right now, i've simple put your mod above the 2 mods, and it works well.
Edit: but it not change suits from exosuits mods
Why is the Nosorog 75kg now? 0_o
I thought this mod was supposed to reduce weight?
That must've been a mistype, my bad! I'll go over it and see if I can find my original logic if there was any at all. If there isn't, what weight would you recommend? Anything helps.
the mercenary nbc keep the original weight and carry capasity
the ecologist exo have in total after upgrades 6 spaces in the belt
Love the name
Hey guys, sorry about the hiatus, had some things pop up in my life. If there's anything you'd recommend to continue this update, please feel free to message me and I'll consider it. Thanks!
I'd love to see the weight of armour upgrades lowered
